Isn’t her outfit the best? I hope it’s coming soon!

I’ve been seeing her featured in the new trailer—does this mean we might be able to get this outfit soon? It’s one of the best $1 outfits; both the hair and the outfit are amazing.

I feel like I’m standing in the right place, but I’m just not seeing the same thing.

I tried going to this location to recreate the photo, but I’m not sure I quite got it.

Don’t you just love these mini art projects? Customise-red pocket, dating profile, portrait drawing, and now this wooden figure. Please keep adding them!

I really love those little souvenirs you can get just by talking to NPCs. Almost each map has something of its own.

[Mechanist] Hidden Mountain Oddity Catching Guide

Note: The following information is based on my in-game experience. If anything is incorrect or inaccurate, please feel free to leave a comment below.

There are four types of Oddities in Hidden Mountain:

🪽 Wicker Ray
🦗 Jadesong Cicada
🦔 Blackiron Pangolin
🐗 Terracotta Boar

You can usually spot Oddities on the map, but listening for their unique sounds can also help you pinpoint their exact locations.

🐗 Terracotta Boar

How to find it
The Terracotta Boar can usually be found in grassy valley areas.
As you approach it, you should hear a rattling sound similar to a teapot.

How to catch it

  1. Approach the boar from behind.
  2. Push it toward a hard object or obstacle.
  3. The boar will roll toward the obstacle.
  4. Make it hit the obstacle three times.
  5. After the third hit, you should be able to catch it.

Interesting fact
The Terracotta Boar appears to resemble a pig figurine found at Lianhe Ruins in Sichuan Province, China. The pig figure is on display at the Sanxingdui Museum in China. (Source: bbc.co.uk)

🌊 Wicker Ray

How to find it

Unlike the other Oddities, the Wicker Ray does not have an obvious distinctive sound (except the water jet sounds they make as they are moving). Instead, look for it swimming in bodies of water.

How to catch it

  1. Spot the Wicker Ray swimming in the water.
  2. Chase after it.
  3. Once you get close enough, a catch prompt should appear.
  4. Use the prompt to catch it.

The main challenge is simply catching up to it.

🦔 Blackiron Pangolin

How to find it
The Blackiron Pangolin can generally be found on the ground usually there is one or few hole.
Listen for a rotating sound in the air, which sounds somewhat like a fan spinning or flipping.
You may also notice several holes in the ground around the area.

How to catch it

  1. Locate the Blackiron Pangolin.
  2. Use your bow to shoot it.
  3. After being hit, it should stop moving.
  4. You can then approach it and catch it.

Sometimes the pangolin will move between the holes, appearing and disappearing from them (just like a game of Whac-A-Mole).

Tip: If you see several holes, keep an eye on them and listen for the rotating sound to determine where the pangolin is.

🦗 Jadesong Cicada

How to find it
The Jadesong Cicada can be found on trees and branches.
Listen for the familiar sound of a cicada as you explore.
As you get closer, you should also see a sound indicator pointing toward its location.

How to catch it

  1. Follow the sound indicator to locate the cicada.
  2. The cicada will move from one branch to another.
  3. Get close enough to it.
  4. Use Wind Sense.
  5. You should then see the Celestial Seize prompt.
  6. Use the prompt to catch the Jadesong Cicada.

Oddity Exchange

Once you have successfully caught all four Hidden Mountain Oddities, don't forget to bring them to the Oddity Collector near the Mountain Verge Boundary Stone teleport point to upgrade your character's Stat (I assume you already know that)

Oddity exchange location on the map

That's it! Hopefully this guide helps anyone who is trying to find and catch all the Oddities in Hidden Mountain.

Happy Oddity Catching!

Silver Needle, probably not the best sect to disguise as for MH.

Who goes around with their radar on like the Silver Needlers?

Or the best if you're just looking to get bonked for research points.

u/cherrytrees12 — 15 days ago

Duchess is clearly the princess that she is. As for Pudding, anywhere will do! 😹

I love how every cat has its own unique personality.

Heard about it and had to see it for myself. This is amazing

Someone recreated Angkor Wat, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, in their guild base.

It's an amazing build with so much attention to detail. Massive respect to the person who built it.

Isn’t the Mohist Hill Sect outfit one of the best sect outfits? The design & materials just look so well thought out.

I like that the other sect outfits are unique in their own way, but a lot of them feel too elaborate or occasion-specific. The Mohist Hill Sect outfit, on the other hand, has a more casual design that actually looks like something you'd wear every day while still looking stylish. It feels practical without sacrificing aesthetics.

The puppets are a bit uncanny😭, but don’t you just love the set design in this?

While I’m fighting this boss, I keep getting distracted by how beautiful the location is, vibrant colours, shapes, and so much detail.

I’m not sure if it’s inspired by a real-world place or a specific architectural style, but either way, it looks incredible.

The Hidden Mountain scenery kinda reminds me of Studio Ghibli's Castle in the Sky

The elevated terrain, the construction, and the simple but retro craftsmanship.

As I walked through the different levels, I couldn't shake the fear of falling. It genuinely felt like the entire place was floating.

And I just love the music.

Did they actually kiss?

I'm seeing people say they literally lost their first kiss to each other, while I don’t think they did, they were kinda almost did but not at the end.

So... did they actually kiss? 🤭

u/cherrytrees12 — 27 days ago

Based on the way he acts, if this were a Cdrama, I'd already be mentally preparing for our romance arc. 😂

Is it just me, or does he always act shy around us? His behaviour could definitely be seen as him trying to conceal his identity, but I can't help feeling that he's always playful and silly around the MC. 😂 Hahaha.

u/cherrytrees12 — 28 days ago

It's such a small detail, but I love that each plant have its own distinctive look

Been loving the crop models. They actually look like the crops they're supposed to be instead of the classic "generic green bush" that magically turns into a watermelon 3 days later.

80 & 120 Draw Rewards: Worth It or Easy Skip 🤔

The scenario decor is gorgeous. The model looks amazing... BUT WHY IS IT FLOATING IN THE SKY? 😭 It sits so high compared to the character model, and you can't lower it any further than what's shown. I tried in preview.

The flower hair pin for 120 draws. The glow effect is nice... for dark scene. Otherwise it feels surprisingly underwhelming, and on the MC preview it feel like flowers on a metal wire.

Considering future cumulative rewards could be better, I'm wondering if these are worth spending extra pulls on.

Lotus Creek, Homestead Level 7

Starting to build bit by bit, this is a small, relaxing retreat by the creek. The homestead features Level 7 homestead items and prosperity points, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment.

The retreat includes a beautiful entrance, a restaurant with a fully equipped kitchen, a board game, a study hall, and an outfit gallery.

I think we're finally going to max out the Battle Pass for the first time?

I'm not sure what's changed, but it looks like we're going to reach Level 100 with the Elite Battle Pass without using any Battle Pass XP.

Unless I miscalculated.

After seeing the companion preview, is anyone else secretly hoping this outfit releases at the same time? (Credit:Nova wwm workshop)

u/cherrytrees12 — 1 month ago

Tell me I'm not the only one who's obsessed with this head accessory instead of the main outfit. 😂

I've been waiting forever to get this laurel wreath head accessory, and somehow I'm more excited about it than the actual mermaid dress it's paired with. 😭

The dress is gorgeous, don't get me wrong—but the headpiece is the real MVP. It's giving ancient Greece, Rome.

u/cherrytrees12 — 1 month ago

This is such a cool feature! You can actually display outfit combinations you own on mannequins.

While messing around with the Homestead build mode, I stumbled across these and wondered, "Why does this furniture come with a person?" 😂 Turns out they're mannequins, and you can dress them up with any outfit you own.

Now I've got some of my favorite looks on display instead of leaving them buried in the wardrobe. Definitely one of my favorite little Homestead features so far.
