Recommendations for buying a refurbished SX-70 Alpha 1
I’m in the market for a refurbed & converted SX-70 Alpha 1 for a birthday gift for my wife. Doc Jerm was initially going to hook me up but I apparently asked too many questions (I’m not too familiar w/ the instant film world, admittedly) and he told me to look elsewhere.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. And apologies in advance if my relative ignorance is offensive or off-putting in some way. Just trying to find the perfect gift for my wife’s birthday.
Edit: would love to find someone/a business that doesn’t require communication via Instagram. I’m not much of a social media user, which may account for part of the reason DrSX70 was put off by my email-structured communications.

[B] [USA-FL] Hasselblad 100mm f3.5 Lens
Hoping for a miracle…
Looking for a Hasselblad 100mm f3.5 in excellent working condition.
I know it’s a long shot — almost all of the eBay listings are from overseas — but thought I’d see if someone in the US would be willing to sell.
Thanks!
What do you do with extra test prints that came out nicely but aren’t the “chosen ones”?
I’ve just been saving them but curious what others do. Feels like I should do something with them other than storage.
I posted this earlier to r/analog, but realize it’s probably better suited here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Panoramic book recommendations
Hi friends. Looking for some inspiration/recommendations - specifically, some panoramic film work. Would prefer a mix of landscape and other scenery (street, liminal spaces etc.) - since I know the standard panoramic books tend to be majestic landscapes.
Bonus if the photographer used an XPAN or WideLux camera
Looking forward to researching some new books! Thanks!

Best labs for developing & scanning?
Just sent a roll to Negativeland. First time using them. Turnaround is currently 30+ days. Or a $250 rush fee for 1-3 day processing
Looking for any other labs (besides Pro8mm) with reasonable processing times
Help w/ 80mm f2.8 C Lens - Can’t Get SS Ring to Turn to 1 or B
I will try to make a long story short:
I sent my 80mm f2.8 C lens into ICT Camera for repair & CLA. The main issue - the shutter speed ring wouldn’t turn slower than 1/2 before locking up completely, making it impossible to engage bulb mode for long exposures.
After receiving the lens back from Jim @ ICT - the issue remains. I have been in contact back-and-forth w/ Jim and he claims it is due to a “quirk” w/ C lenses. Here was his explanation:
“On a Hasselblad lens you will need to put the diaphragm minimum aperture over the slower speeds to get the speeds dial to rotate down to 1 second or B. It is a quirk with all C lenses.”
Needless to say, this makes no sense to me. I’ve tried every combination of speed/aperture but no matter what - both rings lock up when I try to go any slower than 1/2. I’ve also read every manual I could find for C lenses, and researched this fairly extensively on forums & have yet to see any mention of the “quirk” Jim is talking about. Everything I’ve read suggests that the ring should just be able to turn to B.
Can anyone here illuminate this for me? I’ll be the first to admit that I may be dense, but for the life of me I can’t figure this out. Starting to feel as if I got ripped off, after paying a fairly expensive repair bill.
