Significant other checking out other women

Female married for 26 years. I've never had a problem with my husband glancing at attractive women. My take is he's going to do it anyway, why make him feel like crap for it. I think it's human instinct, I have checked out good looking men. In fact, we point out people to each other. On another sub, for women, a wife complained about it and almost everyone's advice was to leave him if he won't stop. I think that's completely insane. Need a guy's perspective. Thanks.

4 level lumbar fusion

6 month post op appointment today. Surgeon says hardware is good. However, since the surgery my pain has only increased. I cannot walk very far within extreme pain. Cannot sit upright for very long, have to be reclining or lying down. I use canes or a walker, and in stores the electric scooters. I was sent to in-house pain management and prescribed 100 mg tramadol 3x a day and lyrica 100 mg 3x a day. Doesn't really help. I've recently had a myelogram, xrays, and nerve conduction studies. Also 2 steroid injections in my spine. Now being sent for an MRI and a steroid injection in the nerves near the surgery site. Surgeon says I can't get an implanted spine stimulator until the 1 yr mark. As far as PT, I didn't start til about the 3 1/2 month mark. Went for about 3 weeks, it was so painful, they told me to stop all PT and see the doctor.

I'm so frustrated and depressed. It's not like I want to do a triathlon, I just want to be able to do housework, go shopping and walk my dogs. Without pain. I also have fibromyalgia, so I'll never be pain free, but I can usually manage my fibro. I just don't know what to do. Surgeon said I still have 6 months to determine if I will recover. But if it's been steadily getting worse, I just don't see how it's going to get better in 6 months.

I guess I'm just venting and wanting to hear of others difficult recoveries, so I know it can happen with me. Oh, also I'm a 55 year old F and I have no idea how long I had DDD, so I don't know if some nerves just won't recover.

Farfel and Smitty

Finally got some good pics of Farfel and his brother Smitty (Anatolian) wrestling. We used to have a lawn but it's long gone now.

Farfel

Freshly groomed. I do it myself, he's 1 1/2 and I think I'm getting the hang of it. Farfel is 1/2 OES and 1/2 Bouvier des flandres so his hair isn't as long as purebred but it's still a big job keeping him mat-free.
