WDW vs Disneyland in February

Hey all! I'm in the early stages of planning a trip and need help narrowing things down. I've only ever been to WDW and it's been a while at that. I'm looking at either Disneyland or WDW during February for a family of five. We homeschool and are planning to take an early spring break to beat the crowds, so we're pretty flexible on timing.

Weather wise, which do you recommend this time of year? Would a weekday trip in February miss some of the crowds (avoiding President's Day). I'm looking to spend 3 days in the park. Maybe two if we do Disneyland. Kids are 11-7. Thanks for any help you can offer!

Grain Free Diet

Hello, fellow sufferers! I have been dealing with atopic dermatitis my whole life, Dyshidrosis for the last 12 years. It seemed to be triggered by my very first pregnancy and got exponentially worse over the years until I was able to pinpoint flares to grain consumption. I had been gluten and dairy free for nearly ten years already by that point, but I could set my watch to an exposure-flare time. After any corn, rice, or soy, my skin would be bubbling and pulsating with inflammation two hours later.

I was briefly able to reintroduce gluten free grains again, but am dealing with another flare that seems to be responding well to cutting grain all over again. It's discouraging, but it's helpful.

I guess this post is two parts: 1. Has anyone else had relief with a grain-free/paleo diet? and 2. Any theories as to why it would be helpful? I don't test as allergic to them (both blood test and skin prick) and it doesn't fit neatly with a nickel allergy, either, because I tolerate nuts just fine. Anyone else?

Cat Dander Help

We just got keys to a new house that had an undisclosed cat. Well, I am severely allergic to cats and can’t breathe in it! We want to try everything we can to mitigate the dander before we consider breaking the lease contract to avoid difficulty there.

Current plan:

-hire professional cleaners to do a thorough clean of hard floors and hard to reach places (fan blades and light fixtures)

-clean carpets

-change furnace filter and possibly have ducts cleaned if within our budget

-open windows and allow fresh air in

I’ve also considered mopping the walls but have never done that. The walls are textured, so it does seem likely they could be trapping allergens. Any tips on how best to do this? Any other reasonable ideas that we could try?
