Hey everyone! I’m looking to meet new people and make friends, and I’ve noticed there are quite a few friendship/dating/social events happening in Ahmedabad, especially on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

I was checking the District app and found a lot of events, but I’ve never attended one of these before. Has anyone here actually been to any of these events?

Would love to know:

- Are these events actually good for meeting new people?

- Is the crowd friendly and genuine?

- Are they more focused on dating or making friends?

- Which events/organizers would you recommend?

- Is it comfortable to attend alone?

I’m planning to buy my first car and would really appreciate some honest advice before I make a stupid financial decision 😅

Here’s my situation:

- 💰 Salary: ₹18,000/month

- 💵 Down payment: ₹50,000–₹1 lakh

- 💳 Current EMI/debt: ₹0

- 💼 Side-project income: Around ₹6,000/month, so potentially ~₹24,000/month total

- 🚗 Requirement: I want to keep the car for at least the next 5 years, so I want something reliable and good value for money.

- 😎 I also don't want something completely boring. I’d like a car that looks good, has decent performance, and feels cool to own.

- ⚡ I’m also considering EVs, including used Nexon EVs.

My biggest question is:

Is buying a car at this income level a terrible decision, even though I currently have no debt/EMIs?

If I should buy, what would you recommend in the used/new market?

I’m looking for something that gives me:

1. Good looks

2. Decent performance

3. Reliability for 5+ years

4. Reasonable running/maintenance costs

5. Good resale/value for money

I’m especially interested in used cars/EVs, because I don't want to stretch myself too much.

Also, if you were in my position, what car would you personally buy and what maximum EMI would you consider safe?

I'm from Mehsana and work a WFH job, so life has become pretty repetitive lately. I'm thinking of taking a random trip to Ahmedabad just to get out of the house, meet new people, and have a fun day.

The rough plan is:

\- Grab some food or chai.

\- Watch a movie if anyone's interested.

\- Later in the evening, chill at Sabarmati Riverfront, have some casual conversations, and just enjoy the vibe.

No pressure—just looking to make some new friends and have a good time. If we all feel comfortable after hanging out, it'd be great if someone could drop me at the railway station since I'll be heading back to Mehsana that night.

I came to Pune to meet my girlfriend today (12th), but unfortunately she canceled, blocked me, and now I have no plans here.

I had a random experience in Pune and I'm hoping someone can help me identify a fragrance.

I was traveling in an auto near Katraj Road when a Muslim auntie and a young Muslim girl got in. After a few minutes, I noticed a perfume/attar scent that smelled absolutely amazing—very smooth, clean, comforting, and not overpowering. It honestly made the whole ride feel pleasant.

I didn't ask them at the time, and now I'm curious. Does anyone know what kinds of perfumes or attars are commonly used by Muslim women in India? Any specific fragrance names or brands that match this description?
