Any good cheatsheets out there?

Hey all, someone on this reddit recommended me this cheatsheet a while back and it's been super helpful. I recently bought the expansion for bats though, and unfortunately that cheatsheet doesn't have bats included.

Was wondering if anyone had recommendations for something similar and more updated

Good spot to repair velcro on boxing gloves?

Hiya bit of a random question, but any kickboxing/muay thai/boxing guys out there know of a good spot to repair/replace the velcro on my Yokkao gloves?

They're still good, but the velcro coming undone during sparring is driving me crazy

Rough novice fight experience - looking for advice

Been training for a couple of years and had my second novice muay thai fight today. The first thing I noticed was the power difference as my opponent came in guns blazing with heavy hooks which really shut down my ability to think clearly.

I suddenly found it quite hard to initiate my own offense and ended up being on the backfoot quite a bit, more waiting for him to throw while I threw some 2 to 3 piece combinations intermmitently. I also felt so weak when I threw my strikes, I'm not sure if it was just my cardio or that jarring feeling of getting hit hard with full force, or maybe both.

Was wanting to see if others have had this experience and how they overcame it? Looking back on my fight replay I can see the opportunities where if I just let my hands go, I would have connected, but at the time felt hesitancy/apprehension to pull the trigger + felt really weak when I did. Is this just a matter of grit/toughness to push through despite feeling a power/strength difference in the ring?

Some takeaways from the fight were to work on my cardio a tonne more (felt like someone took a blowtorch to my lungs afterwards), tighten up my defence, and maybe try find more confidence in initiating combinations.

Edit - Apon further reflection, I noticed my eyes closed quite a lot when I shelled up and absorbed heavy punching combinations which effectively made everything a bit of a blur during those moments.

Wanted to end by saying that overall this experience has made me really motivated to train a lot harder and improve for my next fights. TIA for any tips/advice

Some good short Pre/Post-fight questions to ask fighters?

I'm participating in a novice muay thai fight event tomorrow and was wanting to create some content like a short video/clip interviewing fighters pre and post-fight.

Off the top of my head I have a couple questions like...

- How are you feeling atm, honestly (scared, nervous, excited etc.)

- How do you expect the fight to go?

Then post-fight

- How did you feel the fight went versus your expectations?

- Would you step in the ring again for another one?

These questions feel a little boring though, or i dunno maybe they're actually okay.

I'm all ears for any questions that might feel a little more engaging/interesting (questions that illicit pretty short answers as I want to interview multiple fighters and compile it into a short-form video)

Southpaw stance defence and weight distribution?

Been working on my southpaw stance recently (training mainly orthodox for about 2 years), and I've found my defence a little awkward with the open stance. Specifically checking/defending kicks from the open side (opponent's right kick to my left side).

In orthodox stance I typically keep my front foot light most of the time, but doing that in southpaw makes it difficult to lift my rear leg up in time to check those kicks to my left side.

Wondering how you experienced southpaws like to defend, and how you typically distribute the weight between the front and rear legs.
