I am a big fan of the band, especially their first album, and while yes, I know it’s their most famous song, Reichenbach Falls is my favourite from them. However, I haven’t been able to find nearly any live performances of the song, nor have I seen it listed on setlist . fm. Does anyone know if they still play it?

Escribo esta reseña como alguien que compró el Switch 2, en México, el día de lanzamiento (5 de junio del 2025), a precio completo (que en su momento eran $15,000 pesos).

LO BUENO:

Honestamente es una excelente consola. No hay mucho más que decir.
Tiene muy buen hardware, lo que se presta a mucho apoyo AAA, está construida con piezas de alta calidad (especialmente cuando la comparas con el Switch 1), y tiene un diseño muy cómodo y ergonómico (en mi opinión).

En cuanto a juegos, ha recibido muchísimos juegos que no esperaba; juegos como Cyberpunk, Assasin’s Creed Shadows, Star Wars: Outlaws, RE9, Pragmata, Indiana Jones, próximamente Elden Ring y 007 First Light, y todos con ports dedicados, lo que hace que corran muy bien, con buenos gráficos y muy buen rendimiento, ya que son versiones dedicadas.

En el ámbito de “juegos AAA”, es muy fácil comparar el Switch 2 con el Steam Deck, y de esa comparación surgen varios pros y contras. El pro más grande del Switch 2 (además de los exclusivos) es que los juegos funcionan sin tener que ajustar o investigar nada. Si el estudio te dice que sale en Switch 2, lo compras y lo juegas y ya está. Con el Steam Deck es más rollo, no todos los juegos en Steam los puedes jugar, y aunque si puedas, no todos corren bien. En muchísimas ocasiones, com el Steam Deck debes ajustar la configuración y a veces sacrificar gráficos por rendimiento.

Otro punto a comparar es el precio, pues con la subida de precio reciente, el Steam Deck más accesible está a $789 USD (casi $14,000 pesos sin ajustar por la región), mientras que el Switch 2 está a $500 USD (aprox. $9,000 pesos sin ajustar a la región). Eso posiciona al Switch 2 en un rango mucho más parecido al de un Xbox y un Play, y lo deja mucho mas accesible que el Steam Deck.

La otra consola con la que yo compararía el Switch 2 es el Xbox Series S, ya que su hardware y capacidad computacional es muy similar. El Switch 2 gana en cuanto a gráficos, pues cuenta con capacidad para 4K y 120 gps, mientras que el Series S solo llega a 2K. Sin embargo, el Series S gana en precio, aunque no por muchísimo.
En mi opinión, el poder tener una consola que corre casi igual a un Series S, pero que también es portátil, es un plus enorme, lo que hace súper atractivo al Switch 2. Y de igual manera, el hecho de que el hardware sea tan parecido hace que el Switch 2 pueda recibir casi todos los juegos que recibe el Xbox, así que el apoyo AAA debería continuar durante mucho tiempo.

Los juegos exclusivos, que son la parte más importante de el por qué alguien se compraría un Switch 2, ya que es en lo que se especializa Nintendo, en mi opinión tampoco han fallado. Mario Kart World es un muy buen Mario Kart, que aunque es distinto, sigue siendo muy divertido y un gran juego con amigos. Donkey Kong Bananza es prácticamente el juego de plataformas 3D que sustituye a Mario (ya que no tenemos un Mario aún), y tiene mecánicas y niveles sumamente divertidos. Y además de esos, hay juegos para todo público. Un nuevo Pokemon, el Kirby Air Riders para variarle al Mario Kart, Pokopia para apelar al público casual, Tomodachi Life para reírte, y próximamente un nuevo Fire Emblem para los fans del RPG, un nuevo Star Fox (remake de 64, pero con gráficos bellísimos), Splatoon Raiders para disparos, y un remake de Ocarina Of Time para el final del año. Añádele que puedes jugar absolutamente todos los juegos físicos y digitales del primer Nintendo Switch, y tienes una enorme selección de títulos, ya sean de Nintendo, independientes, o AAA.

LO MALO:

El precio definitivamente está elevado, pero en comparación a otras consolas (y más con su reciente subidón de precio), no es tan grave. Eso sí, sigue siendo un precio muy alto para una consola. De igual forma, aunque no ha habido casos aún, es posible que vuelva a haber un problema con el Joy Con Drift, es decir, que las palancas se muevan solas.

La pila de igual forma no es la mejor, le dura 2-3 horas aproximadamente, dependiendo del juego. Tomando en cuenta que puedes jugar juegos que requieren mucho poder, hace sentido, pero sigue siendo poco tiempo de juego por carga, en mi opinión.

CONCLUSIÓN:

En mi opinión, el Switch 2 es una excelente compra que parece que será muy duradera, y que seguramente recibirá mucho apoyo por muchos más años. Yo opinaría que vale completamente la pena, y con los juegos que seguirán saliendo, comprarla ahora antes de que le suban el precio me parece una buena decisión.

I also tend to love whatever Nintendo puts out, and am planning on getting Splatoon Raiders on launch. I also recently played Expedition 33 and loved it, so I’m trying to get more into RPGs, and I also finished Bananza and loved it.

I am considering getting either FF7 Remake, Blue Prince, or something else, or maybe starting OoT on NSO (although I don’t know whether I should wait for the remake).

FF7 because people have said that it’s similar to Expedition 33 (which I adored). I played the demo, and while the story hooked me a little, the combat is not something that I really enjoyed. Blue Prince caught my eye because of its massive praise, and since it’s being compared to Outer Wilds, one of my favourite games, I thought I should check it out.

My favourite genres are platforming, action-adventure, and puzzle games.
