Hiring Managers Unprofessional

I applied to outback, got the job, cool. Now I’m waiting for my workday email I was supposed to get a week ago, it’s taken the general manager 3 days to approve now I’m applying to other jobs.

Why are they like this? I had to wait 30 minutes for my interview as well 😭

Marked For Ineligibility to be Rehired. Am I cooked?

Context: Chillis was my first restaurant job (I’m a retail girl down) so I wasn’t horrible at my job, I did have a slight issue with racist customers. My general manager and other manager spoke with me about it and I got out more on the schedule.

I worked there as a summer job for three months and left for my sophomore year of college as my school is two hours away. This was last summer. I’m now back and reapplied, the GM is the same but there’s a new kitchen manager who interviewed me. I was host before and now I applied as server and got offered food runner.

Note: I’ve had two other jobs since chillis, one as a host and another as a server.

I called today to follow up on my interview and was told I was put down as ineligible to be rehired. I let them know I was leaving in advanced. My last day, my manger’s told me to come back as did my team members.

Maybe it was a work ethic issue? But I don’t know. I was told i’ll have a definite answer by tuesday. I was never late and my last shift working was one that I picked up without having to be asked. I really wanna work again as I miss it, but I’m scared I won’t be able to. Also does that mean I’m banned from working at a chillis or atleast that chillis? forever?

(I didn’t steal, make a scene when I left or anything, it wasn’t on bad terms I just had to go back to college).

They also told me to come back? So like ??? 😭 It feels backwards if I wouldn’t be able to.
