Good job to have while studying in college?
Hi everyone!
I'm 25. I currently work as a fuel farm operator at a major airport. While I like it and the pay is good, it's stressful and I don't have the sufficient time needed to attend school full time (4-5 classes per semester). I saw that an airline has a part time ramp position opening (not with swissport/dnata etc, directly WITH the airline) and was looking to apply.
Is this a good job for a college student who wants to take more classes and who also loves to travel? I'm not tight on money as I thankfully live with parents and don't have big expenses. I only have my car. What do you guys do on a daily basis, do part timers have the same benefits as full time, and what are they strict on? Any insight would be appreciated.
Business Administration major. Taking 2 math heavy classes in fall, am I cooked or is this manageable?
For context, I always hated math. I passed precalc with a B. I'll be taking applied calc 1 and econ which both involve a lot of math. Also taking Bio which is probably gonna be time consuming as well. Every time I look at my schedule I think to myself this might rek me. Get me out of here
I've been applying to places since March, and none of them reached out to me. Most updated on the career website "not selected," while others completely ghost me. There was this opening for an operator at a power plant near me that I was feeling really hopeful about, but I got rejected within 4 days. Is my resume hard to look at? What should I change or add? I'm trying to work at a gas/nuclear power plant, or become a water technician. Do I have to lie to make myself stand out?
I often hear how corporate jobs are oversaturated and that blue-collar jobs need people. I'm here ready to learn, but no companies want to give me a chance.
