Alfredo Duno with two more home runs today for the Dayton Dragons, he now has 9 on the year.

Duno has put together a great start to the year for the Dragons and it will be interesting to see when he might be called up to the lookouts.

One of his homers today was a no-doubt bomb going 413 feet with a ridiculous 108.7 mph exit velocity.

We have some serious issues with our catchers, and this kid is still probably a ways away from the big leagues, but looks to have a bright future.

Yes it is just one game - but the Reds bullpen got it done tonight.

After Chase Burns pitched so well through six innings, the Reds bullpen slammed the door with three scoreless frames to finish off the win, which has been such a struggle recently for these relievers.

Pierce Johnson worked around a walk while striking out two in the seventh, Sam Moll followed with a clean eighth inning, and Tony Santillan closed it out with two strikeouts in the ninth for his second save.

Altogether, our relievers allowed no hits and no runs over the final three innings, striking out five.

Honestly just happy to see them preserve an absolute gem from Chase Burns (who is shaping up to be such a great pitcher for us this year).

Elly is hitting .419 over his last 10 games with an OPS of 1.072

Yes there’s been some rough times for the Reds recently, but Elly continues to be a huge bright spot.

James Harden in Game 5: 30 points, , 8 rebounds, 6 assists.

It may have not been James Harden’s most efficient shooting night, but he stepped up when the Cavaliers needed him and helped power them to their first road win in these playoffs. He’s heard the analysis about how he chokes in the postseason and this is a good example of how much he can help a team like this with his experience and leadership.

We’re now up 3-2 and have a chance to take the series at home, but we need a complete game from both Harden and Mitchell (who did come up big late in this one) to get it done.

The 2025-2026 Wolverines were simply built differently.

It’s no wonder the Wolverines had one of the best and most athletic defenses in the country. Just look at these measurables:

Morez Johnson Jr.

6’9”
250.6 lbs
Wingspan: 7’3.5”
Standing reach: 8’11”

Aday Mara

7’3”
259.8 lbs
Wingspan: 7’6”
Standing reach: 9’9”

Yaxel Lendeborg

6’8.75”
241.4 lbs
Wingspan: 7’3.25”
Standing reach: 9’0.5”

Andrew Abbott’s last two starts: 11.2 IP, 9 K, 0 ER

Andrew Abbott has put together two really great outings, back to back. He looks to be getting back on the right track after really struggling earlier this season. Moving forward hopefully he and Burns and be that 1-2 punch we need. And with Lodolo coming back, let’s hope our rotation can continue to improve.

[@JustBB_Media] Chase Burns this season: 47 IP 2.11 ERA (3rd in NL) 1.04 WHIP .196 AVG 48 K, 16 BB

He is just 23 years old and is carrying this rotation. That is pretty amazing all things considered.

But big shoutout to the bullpen today as well that held the Astros hitless for three innings and helped seal a much needed win.

[@KaylerSmithTV] Bengals DE Cashius Howell on why he chose to participate in rookie minicamp, despite not having signed a contract: "I love football... Regardless of the contract not being negotiated fully, doesn't really matter to me."

For not having a first round draft pick, this kid seems like he is ready to play like one here very soon. Love the attitude and desire to show the team what he can do.

[@char_cliff] The Reds have been outscored 60-23 over their 8-game losing streak. They also could not score a run against a pitcher with a 5.97 ERA coming into this game.

I feel like Lodolo pitched okay for his first game back. But there is no excuse for this offense being as putrid as it was, on a Friday night at home in a game that could have turned a terrible skid around.

That and Santillan was…extremely bad. And that didn’t help.

Reds’ prospect Edwin Arroyo tonight: 4-5 with a double and home run. He’s now hitting .322 with 5 home runs and a .922 OPS in 143 at bats with Louisville.

Our farm system might not be what it has been in the past but you have to think if things keep going as bad as they have been, we may see Arroyo at some point this year. What he’s doing in the minors is extremely promising.

Just looking for some rays of light during some dark times for our Redlegs.

[@getnickwright] James Harden has now played 182 playoff games. In 36 of them, he’s made three or fewer shots — almost 20% of his postseason career. He’s also had 46 playoff games where he recorded as many or more turnovers than made field goals, which is over 25% of his playoff games.

The stats speak for themselves. I was cautiously optimistic about the Harden trade at the time, thinking maybe this team would help him be better in the playoffs.

Look like I was probably dead wrong for having a little hope.

Yeah it was a crap night but seeing Antone battle back and have success was great to see.

It’s another solid portal pickup for Calhoun! Fleming averaged 10.4 points per game and 3.2 rebounds across 25.5 minutes per game for Georgia Tech last year. He shot 37.3% from the field and 32.9% from three-point range.

He is the Bearcats 11th portal addition, and was a four-star recruit that was offered by the Bearcats back when Wes Miller was the coach. Fleming will be a sophomore for the Bearcats next year.

As a Cincinnati guy (please don't downvote me too much) this is really cool to see. I'm no QB guru but any time you get to train with QBs like this, it's got to not only be a pretty cool, but pretty informative experience.

Yet another reason for the Cavaliers to keep the pressure up and end this series in Toronto tonight.

Between Sal, Murakami, and Moisés Ballesteros there are a ton of good rookies out there that could win ROTY.

Sal has just as good a case as any rookie:

- Fourth in fWAR

- Fourth in wRC+

- Apart from leading in RBIs (by 6) he is also tied for the rookie lead in stolen bases

That's his second of the year, 360 feet with a 96.8 exit velo.

He's now at a 190 wRC+ over his last 5 games, slugging .778 with a 185 OPS+

Definitely trending in the right direction!
