Moviebase is now on iOS an runs standalone, Trakt is optional

I develop Moviebase. Posting because the question I keep getting from people in this sub is whether the app needs Trakt at all.

It doesn't. Sign in with a Moviebase account and never touch Trakt. Watchlist, history, seasons

with bulk marking, rewatches, ratings, notes, calendar, episode notifications, stats and widgets

all run on our own sync. None of it is behind a VIP wall.

Android since 2017, iOS since last week; same app on both. Ask me anything.

I released Moviebase for iOS with the full Trakt feature set

Hey, I'm the developer of r/MoviebaseApp.

The app has been on Android for years, around 200k people use it, and a large part of them are Trakt users. A few days ago, I released the iOS version.

What I want now is to make it the Trakt client I would use myself, instead of guessing.

What does your current Trakt app on iOS do that you would miss, and what has never worked properly in any of them?

Last chance: export your TV Time data before it's deleted

This is the final stretch. TV Time shuts down July 15 and your data goes with it.

If you haven't exported yet, do it today: export from TV Time, import to Trakt, connect Trakt in Moviebase.

Steps are pinned. Don't wait until it's gone.

Will I lose my history? No, if you export before July 15 and bring it in through Trakt.

Is Moviebase free? Yes.

Does it track individual episodes? Yes, episode by episode, plus seasons and progress.

A reminder: you have about a week to save your TV Time data

If you're moving over from TV Time, don't leave your watch history behind. After July 15 it gets deleted for good.

Two minutes now saves years of tracking: export from TV Time, import to Trakt, then connect Trakt in Moviebase.
