I'm looking for an online group to join for a few sessions just to get a sense of how other people/groups play and run this game.

is there a site to check out, a discord channel, or even people here wanting to stick a group together?

I was with a local in person group and we played it for several months, took turns GMing, but I never quite felt like we were getting the BitD experience. I think a few of the players were really just wanting to play haunted steampunk 5e, and so thats what they tried to force it to be. (the phrase, I dont want to metagame with my flashbacks was said more than once).

anyway, looking for a different experience as a player, so that I can try running this game in the future again with a new perspective.

I posted a few weeks ago seeing if there was any interest, there was, but due to scheduling issues with the location I wasn't able to make it happen.

So we're trying again. I've got the space booked, now I just need to fill it with people.

We'll be playing the starter set adventure, with premade characters as an intro the system. It's a chance to see if the system is any good as well as potentially meet some people who might want to consider a longer campaign later on down the road.

No knowledge of any of any of the books, series, cosmere or otherwise required
