Road Surfaces

What's going on with the road surfaces across Cumbria at the moment? Grange-Over-Sands / Kendal have had large sections of road surface removed and left for weeks without re-surfacing. Leaving it as a "skid risk" and stones flying up constantly. No signs indicating what's going on either.

PodHome App and IoG

EDIT 1:

After having another poke around the app I decided to double check the tariffs you can set. In there I found the option to set to "other tariff" which then shows a message stating it will convert your charger into its basic mode.

ORIGINAL POST:

I am wondering if anyone can shed some light on my issue as I'm struggling to find any information and Octopus support isn't super helpful at the moment.

I have a pod 3 solo charger which has just recently swapped the home functionality to a new app which claims to be smarter. Prior to this update I had the old app set to manual mode and IoG controlled everything and I didn't have any issues.

I have a BMW i4 2022, we also have just got a Mercedes cla 250.

The merc is not supported on IoG yet so we have had to set the Merc up in the new PodPoint app so that it can charge. The new app does not seem to have much in the way of manual features.

The Merc seems to charge happily although it can't take advantage of the octopus IoG day rates so we have to limit it to the overnight period.

The BMW however is having major issues. When I plug in the octopus app recognises the car and shows as plugged in and creates a schedule. I initially had not added my BMW to the PodHome app as I read that by doing so could cause more conflicts. However the car would not charge during the scheduled hours in the octopus app. When I looked at the PodPoint app it seemed to think the Merc was plugged in as it showed the green border and a message saying it would charge by the ready time. However no charging started in the BMW.

I tried adding the BMW to the PodHome app. Again it recognises this time the BMW is plugged in but is trying to schedule the charge itself instead of based on IoG or the BMW app. As far as I can tell there is no way to turn off this smart feature in the PodHome app. The closest setting I can find is the "complete charge" option.

Ive unplugged, plugged in, removed the vehicle from the pod app. Readded it etc. but nothing works. The only way I can get it to charge is to boost which ignores any schedule provided by IoG meaning I'll be charged at the day rate not the cheap rate.

Has anyone found a reliable fix? I have contacted pod support but their contact form is also broken and I had to use an email I found which I'm not sure will get a response....

Thanks in advance.
