Let’s Repeat an Old Top Gear Experiment…Dacia Spring vs….

Obviously this is for fun and entirely hypothetical. What stupid financial choices would you go for if you had £11,500? I’ll post some pics for inspiration.

I have always fancied a Toyota Century.

Back then it was £6k and Nissan Pixo vs E31 850i vs C215 CL600.

DB9 (DBS & VQ2) rear seats are useless, here’s my solution

It’s a dog seat! With storage underneath.

Essentially a plywood box custom made to fit replacing the seat base. False bottom installed to provide extra storage at the same time. So now instead of useless seats I’ve created the perfect spot for a small dog. I could probably install the same on the other side and a bench across the two if space for a larger breed is required.

Prototyped the thing in cardboard over the weekend and can be mirrored to be fitted onto either side.

Help finding a supplier in UK

Hi everybody. Been here for a while, loving everybody’s creations. Hoping to tap into the hive mind.

I’m in search of metal stiletto caps/tips/tops. I know it’s incredibly unfashionable to use these now but the durability is next level.

I used to use https://www.stiletto-heel-tips.co.uk/ but their size for metal tips are limited as are leather and grindery.

EBay has a few sellers but only sell in pairs and I’m after bulk. The aim is to buy enough to last for at least a decade of shoe repairs, as I no longer want to worry about sourcing them. So a wholesale supplier that could be able to supply a few hundred pairs in different sizes would be ideal.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, I’m happy to import if needed as this would be a one and done situation.

To those who work on their own Astons…

Specially the VH cars, do you find the wheel torque disconcerting high? I know it’s engineered to that level and all the service manuals say exactly the same 80Nm for level one then final torque to 135Nm for 22mm and 180Nm for 21mm. So I do as instructed, but every time I’m putting the wheels back on, my inner monologue is screaming at me it’s too much. Anybody else feel this way when working on their cars?

God the roads get narrow down there. Surprised by how few potholes there were though. Also a couple of bonus bikes on Dartmoor.
