To much hype?
Heya,
Maybe I expected to much but I was pointed to this series as the author was the same as FMA but the click I had with that series is not reflecting back on this. Am I missing lore or other stuff as I just don't get the same feel for it.
To be honest the original FMA clicked faster and only at FMAB episode 16 I was locked in. So maybe the real hype and feeling is yet to come but till now it feels kinda mid.
So the honest question is, just because the source is the same, is it actually worth it? (Knowing full well in which subreddit I'm asking this)
Asking advice for a special case
I have a problem, it is smoking.
About eleven years ago I started smoking at parties and parties only but I was in college so there were a lot of parties.
Somehow the link to smoking in a stressful situation was made by my friends and I found out the next year. I volunteered in a bar on a very stressful position. That is when i taught myself the same link, stress = time for a smoke.
Smoked a few years and quit a few times for a couple a months and pick it back up again every time.
Got in a relationship with someone who also smoked and we tried quitting together. This time was for about 6 months. And things changed. There are two ways that I smoke right now, sober, and not sober.
Sober: I do not really like the taste of smoking when I'm sober and I only grab one or two when I really have a high-stress day. On average this is less than 1 per 2 months.
Not sober: This is a tricky one. When I'm having a beer with some people I really want to smoke. This is with other people who smoke but also with non-smokers the case. And then it's not mild. Like about 35 cigarets in a long evening, maybe even more. (We sit at a bar on an outside terrace)
National holidays with nice weather are even worse. It's not like I get shitfaced but once started I do not really hit that level of sober (that I do not want to smoke) again until much later or after a nights sleep.
A long evening would be about once
The problem that smoking isn't a constant nagging for me that I can push back against and learn how to deal with it. It actually hits at the point where I don't have "full" self-control.
In my city I can get them 24/7 so waiting beyond a certain point also doesn't really help.
I sometimes don't drink anything for a month and then I also don't smoke but I'm not the person to stay sober the rest of my life. When I had my first drink I instantly craved for a cig.
So I'm a little on the end of the rope. I do not have a physical addiction to nicotine but I really feel i want to do something with my hands and mouth. And maybe that also plays in mentally but mostly the mental game feels heavy.
Do you guys have any tips, handlebars, ways of surviving. I hope to hear from you.
