What’s so hard about k swapping an ek?

This is a genuine question, I’m curious what parts of the project take the longest and how much fab is needed? I have a shell sitting around but I live in an apartment so I’m restricted to working on it on weekends

Anyone know the part name or number for this?

MC553 master, didn’t come with the part that connects it to the line, but the slave did. I need that connector and the pins to hold it right? What is it called

Once again asking about notchy/crunchy shifting

Would there be anyway the clutch or bearings could cause this?

2015 si 80k miles
I assume stock clutch, cmc, csc
Fresh AMSOIL and clutch fluid/bleed
Clutch petal adjusted
Acuity shift bushings, base bushings, and select springs

So far in diagnosis
Feels great when engine is off, but
Every shift other than second has a crunchy peanut butter feeling, no sound. Surprisingly my 2nd gear feels great. It’s worst in 3rd and 5th, to where it feels like when I put it in gear a metal snick/grab happens in the shifter
All gears feel great at high rpm upshifting or downshifting
Throw out bearing noise occasionally when going from a stop at 2k revs

When I start in first, the car doesn’t move, there seems to be a clear engagement point with the clutch which makes me want to rule out cmc, csc

Could bad clutch or bearings be the culprit here even if there’s no slippage? Does anyone have any success stories with an issue like this, my next venture is completing my em2 conversion kit I have laying around

Really not wanting to replace or rebuild my tranny

How bad are hondata tunes

I have a 9th gen and I’m looking to get an exhaust and hondata

I really don’t want to spend $700 for a professional tune just for a downpipe, are the hondata ones bad? Should I just skip the dp

And if it’s catted does it meaning fully change the sound of the car, would running a full race with OEM sound similar?

I need help with notchy shifts

It’s driving me insane

2015 si 78k miles

I’ve replaced the shifter base bushings, selector springs, cable bushings, and I still have a bad shift

It feels like I’m dragging my shifter through crunchy peanut butter, 3,5,6 are the worst. No grinding noise, no pop outs, but 6th has a bunch of resistance

I’ve adjusted my petal and cmc, so the engagement point is pretty high so I think I can rule out clutch drag

You guys have any idea or is it most likely the previous owners not knowing how to shift

Questions regarding Em2 cmc conversion, detent springs, hondata

I daily a 2015 si

Everyone says the first mod you should get is a hondata, but as far as I’m aware the base maps should only be used to get to your tuner, so I’m wondering how it’s worth it for someone stock

Anyone regret putting in hybrid detent springs on OEM shifter? Too stiff?

Also wondering if the em2 cmc + ms conversion is worth it, and what car I should get them from.

I can’t tell from my reading if the 9nth gen’s have issues relating to these parts, is there a common age or milage they go out? I’m chasing a poor shift rn I’m at 76k miles

Have any of you changed them out with great results?
