Need Advice/Help For This Nightmare

I made a reservation about a month prior for a 16 foot cube truck from one of the locations in Toronto for me moving from one apartment to another, as well as putting my girlfriends items from her apartment in the truck as well. The plan was to keep the items in the cube overnight so that after moving out of our apartments, we could move into the new one in the morning. The reservation was confirmed. On the day of the move and about an hour and a half before pickup I received a call saying they did not having any 16 ft truck’s available. They could only offer me a panel van. I said I needed something equivalent or larger and they said they couldn’t help me. When I asked how it could possibly not be there I was told there was a ford econoline recall. Which is interesting to tell a customer an hour and a half before pickup and after it’s been reserved for over a month. I was told to find other options. I could not find anything else from budget, u-haul, avis, drive force since it was the very last day of the month. I ended up not having a vehicle for the move and had to use my Honda civic to try and get all of the items out of my apartment as well as my girlfriend’s separate apartment. I was unable to get the bulky items out and spent all night driving things to a friends place to store the items before my key handoff to my landlord as well as picking up keys for the new apartment.

Long story short I was never able to get all of the items out of either apartment. Mostly larger items. The new tenants arrived and now have some legal action put against me for item disposal.

I have called enterprise corporate several times, they told me they have sent “urgent” messages to the branch to return my call or to contact me. I have had a case file with corporate for over 2 weeks. Nobody at the branch answers my calls from any hour from 9-5 since this happened. I was told the only way to get the district managers number was through the branch manager. Every call from customer service tells me I’m being put in a priority for this to be reconciled but it’s clearly not happening. The only option I think I might have is to go to the branch directly. I’m not looking for enterprise to compensate the items not being removed.

I just want something, something to acknowledge this whole shitshow and how my reservation was abandoned on such a stressful day. I have lost all faith and trust in enterprise.

What exactly should I do.
