The first time I came across Havok was a PlayStation 2 game called X-men Next Dimension. In it I remember really liking his powers and look but hating his personality. He seems smug, arrogant, egotistical and jealous of Cyclops. Every other time I've seen Havok (admittedly I haven't seen him that often) he is way less abrasive. Is Havok generally unlikable at times in the comics or is it that unique to that game?
Without spoilers I feel like when I was younger Wolverine's healing factor was not nearly as strong. Did it get significantly stronger over time? And if so was it gradual? And if so was it justified in the story in a certain way or did it just happen?
Who are Marvel's weakest heroes? A lot of heroes are labeled as street level but even they have some pretty amazing abilities. And certain stories have them become extremely powerful. What heroes are legitimately the least powerful?
Since I was young I had and idea for a character who has wrist mounted catapults as weapons. I love the idea visually but even with suspension of disbelief or comic book logic I can't think of a way to make it work. I was thinking if I could come up with something similar to a "steampunk" scenario where something from that characters timeline or planet would make it more practical for tiny catapults over things like bows and arrows and/or spears but haven't been able to think of anything good enough. If you have ideas to make this weird idea work please let me know
I'm much less experienced with Marvel Comics compared to Marvel shows, movies and video games. With those adaptations (particularly spider-man and in some cases X-Men ones) there's a handful of New York landmarks and New York "identity" in them. Are there specific comics that show New York that extensively and are there other cities that are brought to life similarly in comics?
First off thanks to everyone who helped me with color ideas it gave me motivation and helped me figure out how to better use factory of heroes because I was saving and reworking things.
This concept started with wanting to make a non-lethal character who used knives and evolved from there and despite his look I hope people aren't disappointed that he isn't supernatural.
Like most of my characters I envision him as part of Marvel It is unclear if Dresser is a mutant but he seems to have ridiculous dexterity, coordination and anatomical knowledge so he works for a veterinary clinic who ignores his lack of certifications when his skills are desperately needed.
The first six slides are what I consider his common looks, the next 4 are more rare and the last two are when he teams up with heroes and his first look respectively.
Dresser uses scalpels to kill enemies when he thinks they are beyond redemption but if he thinks they can change (and because he has an ego about his surgical skills) he wounds and bandages his targets to incapacitate them. Initial names I wanted to call him were triage, suture or tourniquet but they were used by other super hero related characters so I've settled in him being called Dresser (as in someone who fixes wounds) and have justified it by saying that criminals called him that and he eventually accepted the name.
When he occasionally teams up with heroes who find his methods immoral he uses tonfas gifted to him by Daredevil (Dresser is not used to blocking with weapons but tonfas can block similar to how he blocks when unarmed). In these cases he is less effective in combat but provides medical aid to heroes and civilians.

First of all thanks to everyone who has helped give me recommendations so far for my new character. After taking suggestions I've made 9 slides with color variants. If you'd like to help please tell me your favourite there are 4 options each for "white" "grey" "tan" "brown" "red" "yellow" "green" "blue" and "purple".
I know it's a little small but it was the best way I could think of to make it fit and you can click the photos to zoom in.
The character will have many different looks but this will help me narrow down good ones.
Also feel free to suggest different shades for the bandages there were so many to choose I probably missed some good ones
It's been a while so I might be misremembering early x-men comics, but I feel like in that era I only remember Toad as being a relatively weak member the brotherhood of evil mutants. Are there stories in x-men related series where Toad is a legitimate threat as a villain?
Working on a character who will have different looks just based on what color bandages he has access to on a given night.
Each one has pros and cons to me.
Red More colorful but maybe reminds me too much of Red Hood from DC
White more grounded but maybe reminds me too much of moon knight from Marvel
Green More colorful but maybe reminds me too much of Lizard from Marvel
Purple more colorful but kind of weird
Brown more grounded but maybe reminds me too much of Hush from DC

Been using hoopla and Libby for reading comics thanks to suggestions on Reddit and I'm looking at fantastic four and one volume 3 by Hickman (that I can rent) is issues 600-604 and the other (that I can't rent) is 579-582. Does anyone know if this is an error or I'm just misunderstanding something?
I'm relatively new to reading comics but so far I find crossovers events kind of annoying. I'll really like the tone or story of a run I'm in the middle of and then it feels like it's put on hold until the crossover event runs its course. Does anyone else feel like this? And are there great crossover events that you think will change my opinion of them?
I know a ton of time has passed, and the symbiote has had many more hosts and more interactions with her but has the symbiote or Eddie Brock ever apologized for this incident?
I used a Factory of Heroes and you doodle to make Thomas Caldwell the main antagonist of the first "book" of my vampire series.
Inspired by Albert Wesker (and to a lesser extent Kevin from Sin City, and Arcade from Marvel) Caldwell runs an organization trying to weaponize vampires and also experiments on himself to be more powerful.

I've got a lot of bias towards the Spider-man animated series does anyone have recommendations for comics where Alistair Smyth is most like his Spider-Man TAS counterpart and or the best comics to feature Alistair Smyth?
Looking for opinions for my Solbearers story. It focuses on making vampires less focussed on bats and Europe, for making it more global and incorporating vampire sects based on other blood drinking animals (leeches, moths, Lamprey, ticks, ect.). In the lore each type has different weaknesses (like how bats are traditionally weak to silver and garlic) because of a powerful sorcerer trying to protect people. Right now im wrestling with if I want to 1.make that a new character or 2. Have headcannon that the sorcerer character is Blade from marvel comics who was somehow sent to the Solbearers universe (Blade is my favourite vampire character and I kind of like the idea of him being a legend in my Solbearers world). So let's hear it is option 2 dumb or fun?
Also I hope my posts don't get repetitive or annoying explaining what Solbearers is everytime I mention it. I just don't want to come off arrogant like I'm expecting people to know what it is just by the name.

For me my fictional x-men called featherweight is sort of an undersized underdog and I like to think I'm a bit like that with my sports background.
Also my character polymer is a scientist which I am nothing like at all but he looks up to superhero's like Black Panther (like my enjoyment of comics) grew up playing rugby (which I still play) and is white man living in Kenya and tries to advocate for the people there (I work with newcomers and do my best to try and support them as they start their new lives)
And both of them are usually not very powerful compared to other comic book hero's so I relate a bit more to them
