I'm trying to gauge how widespread the software issues are. Because from looking at this sub reddit and other forums it seems like every single B10 car is a lemon. I'm hoping this isn't the case?

Hi all, I've just put a deposit on a 3-month-old 2025 Audi Q5 Sportback Edition 1 (UK spec, registered feb 2026) and have a few questions about the Virtual Cockpit Plus before I commit fully.

1. How customisable is the driver display? I know there are three views (classic gauges, sport, and map-centric), but beyond switching between these, how much can you actually personalise what's shown? Can you choose what data appears in each view?
2. Google/Apple Maps in the cluster, can the Virtual Cockpit Plus display Google Maps or Apple CarPlay navigation directly in the driver's instrument cluster, or is it limited to Audi's own MMI navigation? I've seen conflicting information on this.
3. Any other views or layouts I might be missing? Are there hidden or lesser-known display modes that aren't obvious from the spec sheet?
4. 2025 vs 2026 display differences, I'm aware the 2026 model year gets a refreshed MMI interface. For those who've seen or driven both, how noticeable is the difference in day-to-day use? Is it significant enough to matter?
