I am explicitly not looking for a workplace romance or a romance with a manager. I am looking for something where the MMC used to be FMC’s boss and is partly the reason why the FMC quits. The reason is not workplace harassment, sexual or otherwise. But he has feelings for her and asks her out after she has left the company.

Any level of spice, preferably not dark romance but I am not completely opposed to it. the FMC has her reservations about dating him. He tries to win her over with who he is outside of work but they both work in a high intensity industry where work becomes a big part of their waking existence. Bonus points if that industry is management consulting, banking, asset management, private equity or venture capital.

I had to pull over on sunset boulevard (MG road to the GF road junction stretch) to check my bag because I thought I left my house key in office. I had the hazards on and I was going through my bag (didn’t get out of the car), but a cop car pulled up and he said “Ma’am aap idhar mat rukiye, ilakha sahi nahi hai. Jaldi niklo please. Aap akeli ho.”

I do get creeped out by that stretch at night though I love driving through there during the day. But yeah, it was a reality check and I need to choose my routes well.
