What a weird bit of timing

If you didn’t know, the two massive yellow cranes at Harland and Wolff are getting a £3m makeover.

Where to buy WW2 British Gas mask

Hello,

I do tours, and one part of the tour is going down into an air raid shelter, I was hoping to show off a civilian gas mask while down there. I know there’s loads floating around from WW2, however I don’t want to risk the asbestos of it all, in any capacity.

So I was hoping for any recommendations of where to buy any replicas, if it’s possible.

-Thank you

Cunard’s Queen Anne in today

Today marks 86 years since the sinking of Cunard’s Lancastria, it is one of the worst maritime disasters. 4,000 to 7,000 people died, and Winston Churchill hid the truth, so he wouldn’t ’demoralise’ the nation. So today the Captain of the QA, laid down a wreath, as well as the ship sounding her horn.

Apparently it is the last time we will be getting a Cunarder in the city, until the 4 Queens.

Finally finished my Titanic in Minecraft

It took so long to do, I decided to do it in my fully survival world, and did a giant hole for it to sit in, so I could fill it with water.

Before I fill it with water, I thought I’d recreate the RMS Olympic’s famous photo, that usually gets passed off as ‘Titanic’s propellers’

•thank you Richlarrousse for the amazing tutorial.

Tried to recreate Olympic’s propellers photo, with my completed Titanic in Minecraft

I finally finished my Titanic in Minecraft, built it in survival. I’ve gone for the 3 bladed propeller for Titanic. It took nearly two years due to life, and I spent like 1 year and a half digging the hole for it. Gonna fill the whole thing with water, so before I did that. I recreated the photo best I could :))

Hello, just wondering if anyone has any menus from Ocean Liners (I want to make some food, mostly seafood), and taking one further, any possible recipes and how it was cooked?

Thank you :))

Inside the Cunard building

Apparently there’s a myth that there use to be an underground railway that connected the Adelphi hotel and the Cunard building, so the rich people didn’t ‘step foot’ in Liverpool. But apparently it may not be a myth, because recently they found tracks near the Adelphi.

Liverpool Cunard Building

I went on the tour again, it was so good. The blue door hallway, for storage. Cunard would rent rooms out in the building to make up the cost of the building (£35mil in today’s money), it was also used as coal storage for the building and luggage. The yellow lines on the floor is where the rails were.

There’s a little local myth that the rich people didn’t want to step foot in Liverpool, so they would use an underground railway connected from the Adelphi hotel, to the Cunard building, so they technically didn’t have to interact with the city, but that myth has been put into question, because the city has recently uncovered rail tracks near the Adelphi.

This weekend we were open to the public, so took the chance to try out film photography for the first time.

In the scene where Rose arrives, the car she steps out of, matches Titanic, the white body, gold lines and the black top.
