First Time Ko magdala ng date sa lamay 😂😂

So, I met him here on Reddit. We already made plans earlier this month to go out today, but then life happened, and my grandma suddenly passed away. Everything became overwhelming, and I honestly wasn’t sure if I would still have the energy or headspace to go through with our plans. He told me that he would completely understand if I wanted to reschedule. More than that, he was there while I was grieving, constantly checking in, asking if I was okay, reminding me to rest, and making sure I was eating on time. He never made me feel pressured to meet him and seemed genuinely concerned about how I was doing.

I’ve been in a slump these past few days, and I thought that maybe getting out of the house and taking a quick breather would actually help. So I told him that we could push through with late lunch.

Since it was just a lunch and our first meeting, I honestly didn’t expect anything from him. But he surprised me with flowers because he said he thought they might make me feel a little happier. 🥺 I found that really thoughtful, knowing that he actually took the time to arrange for the flowers, order them, and pick them up before coming to get me.

We went to Ramen Ron for late lunch, and I really enjoyed it. I only mentioned ramen being one of my comfort food once, and he looked for ramen recommendations online. 🥺 After that, he even drove me all the way to Dangwa to buy flowers for my grandma’s wake. He dropped me off at the chapel afterward and almost ended up meeting my entire family and relatives. I decided to spare both of us from the interrogation for now. 😂

I think what stayed with me the most wasn’t necessarily the date itself, but the thoughtfulness behind everything. The willingness to go through small inconveniences, adjust to my circumstances, and make things a littleeasier and a little less heavy for me.🤍
