New fire to the northeast?

New fire to the northeast?

I’ll try to get better pictures but this is my view. Is this a new fire? This definitely looks like fire smoke, not a cloud.

My fun(?) use case for the RX100vii

I got the rx100 as an everyday carry. I wanted to take more pictures, without having my a7iv on me all the time. Now that my a7iv isn’t my every day, I was able to lose my 1.8 primes, and get a 24-70 gmii.

I’ve also wanted to work on composition, lighting, creativity, manual focus, etc a lot more. Rely less on post/lightroom, autofocus, etc.

So what I’ve been doing, is treating each preset like a separate camera, with a different roll of film.

- Preset 1 is my night/interior camera. 3200k, iso 1600, 70mm.

- Preset 2 is my walk around street camera. 6000k, ISO 400, 50mm

- Preset 3 is a wide day exterior. 5600k, ISO 100, 24mm

Shooting everything in jpeg. No raw, no post. Should be fun!

What lovely wildlife we have!

Recently got a big dumb camera lens, and we have so many parks full of animals! Here’s some favourites so far!

Stanley place is a wonderful place for a camera with a big stupid lens

Got my first zoom lens, and all I wanted was a picture of a Stellar’s Jay today, but I got a few bonus shots! Beaver lake and lost lagoon did not disappoint.

Not as cool as those lightning strikes…

… But I’m super stoked on my new 100-400 F4.5! Always wanted a lens for wildlife, bounced between the 200-400 and this one, but I’m happy I went with this.

Some photos of the beautiful quay in beautiful light

Got a new camera lens and thought the quay might be a nice place for a walk on a nice night with a nice new camera lens to try out. Hope you folks and folkettes dig them!

Btw what the hell is that noise?!

Jk but there probably is some kind of annoying noise somewhere in the city.

First photo walk with good glass! [A7IV + 24-70 2.8 GMii]

So after a few years with the 35 1.8, 50 1.8, and Viltrox 24 4.5… I picked up the 24-70 2.8 Gii. Went for a little walk about, and I can confidently say there is a noticeable difference both in the use and application of the lens, as well as the results!
