Anyone else inherit old hardware store guns from their dad?

Anyone else inherit old hardware store guns from their dad?

Maybe they are shootable after a good gunsmith gave them a once-over. But otherwise I don’t know what to do with them other than make a display case to put over the fireplace mantel.

What do you do with yours?

I have a Japanese Browning Auto 5 from my Pops that is obviously one I’ll invest some time and effort in. It maybe these are just a nice patina for the wall. The breech load is pretty classic though!

Anakee Adventures VS Trailmax Missions

For my ‘21 Tiger 900 Rally.

I’ve got a lot of super-slab commuting to do in my ratio of riding, and any dirt/gravel will be comparatively shorter.

But as a weekend warrior I’d also like to feel some traction on those gravel roads, mud and/or loose sand will be few and far between but not entirely off the radar.

Suggestions? Even outside of the two mentioned.

Comfort on the tarmac at 80mph would be great. I know I can’t have it all but what’s the best compromise in your experience?
Cheers

Hey Tiger aficionados: GT Pro or 900 Rally

For commuting in the city but also for adventures that might include some bad dirt roads.

I know there's no bike that can do both perfectly, but if you wanted to be comfortable at 80mph on the super slab while also having confidence to navigate some wash-outs on forest roads, loose gravel etc. which would be the best compromise?

I just sold my KLX 300 (photo included for eye candy). It was a fun little bike but I'm not doing much recreational dirt riding. Rather, I just need to get to trailheads via forest roads, etc. Dirt roads in national parks or BLM, that kinda stuff.

I have a '22 Speed Twin 1200 that I've been commuting on. Love that bike and I'll keep it forever, but I'd like more of a swiss-army ADV for commuting and the more punishing highway miles.

Cheers~

EDIT/update: I'm pickup up a 2022 900 Rally Pro. Very excited, thanks for the recs.

The fourth and final national park I’m cruising this trip is the apex, the mothership, the center of the universe: Yosemite Valley. I told myself I cannot post a shot of the bike in front of El Cap until I’ve climbed it this season, so hopefully I’m posting again before the end of the month; an injured finger be dammed ✌🏼

Can anyone recommend a place that can do oil changes for high roof vehicles?

I have a Ford Transit 350 with camper van stuff on top, hoping to find a place for a same-day oil change. Cheers!
