Hey all, my family is going camping next month and I am stressing about sleep. My husband will have a separate cot as he is healing from surgery, but my baby and I don’t have a plan. We have a trailer with beds in it but it’s too long for the campsite so we can’t bring it. We’re back to tent camping, and we have a nearly new air mattress, but I’m worried about deflation over night. This is like our 4th air mattress we’ve owned, a pricey one, and they all just deflate somewhat overnight. If you have two adults in it’s less noticeable I find, but I’m just finding it stressful to imagine what could happen. My kiddo still nurses throughout the night, and often we both fall asleep with him latched. I’m worried about that happening out there, the mattress deflating, and me ending up on top of him, zonked out from hot days. I want to bring our futon mattress but it is too big for our little hatchback. Can anyone suggest a solution, or tell me how you made a similar situation work? Is he mobile enough I can just not worry about it? Ugh, TIA
This just keeps getting worse. I don’t care about aesthetics, I just don’t want it to risk dropping chips in food. Anyone have a janky hack? I’m on a budget. Something you’ve tried and actually worked for a while. Some dishwasher safe stickers? A coating of some sort of sealant? A way to entirely remove the coating off this piece alone? It is the only part of the machine that is chipping. Everything else is pristine. 💔 Any help appreciated. Note: I’m very daunted by having to take this thing apart, I don’t have the right tools or space, and do have a very “helpful” toddler.
