How are you managing the headaches?

I have just gone up to 4mg and the headaches have been dibilitating. I am prone to headaches anyway but I've had one pretty much non-stop since increasing my dose 4 days ago. I don't think I'm dehydrated as I drink at least 2 litres of water a day, but I have obviously been eating less.

Ibuprofen isn't touching the headaches so is there anything else that you have found helps?

Entertaining energetic baby at home during heatwave

I'm sure it's been discussed elsewhere but I couldn't find a post asking exactly what I'm wondering; how are you keeping your baby/toddler entertained at home during this insane weather? I'm not asking how to keep them cool, rather how to stop them getting bored.

My son is about to turn 1 and has boundless energy. He never stops moving unless he's asleep, and he fights naps like his life depends on it. On a normal day, I simply can't stay at home without him becoming feral so we go to soft play, garden centres, walk the dog, visit family, go to the park, etc etc. He won't tolerate sitting in the pram for very long at all so I generally can't just sit and have a coffee or go for lunch.

On Tuesday it was nearly 40 degrees where we live and I just couldn't keep him entertained. We have a fairly small house so he can really only hang out in one room and he became bored of his toys very quickly. He is not interested in the TV at all. I relented and drove him round to my mums but regretted it as my car's AC just couldn't cope and he was wet with sweat and beside himself by the time we got there (10 min drive!).

I'm having the same dilemma today as it's simply too hot to go anywhere. He is clearly bored out of his mind. We do not lack for toys, books, music, etc, but he exhausts all options within the first 2 hours of the day and starts misbehaving and getting into things he shouldn't. I even tried just taking one for the team and setting up a water tray on the living room floor. He was bored after 2 minutes.

So. What are you doing with your non-stop kids at home?

ETA: I have tried the bath! This does keep him happy for about 20 minutes but I still have the other 12 hours of the day to fill 😂
