Rotobrush just deletes previously rendered frames as it propagates itself. What is going on?
Whenever I use rotobrush to mask an object automatically, it starts propagating, then you see those green bars right? After it has finished a section, as it moves on to the further right, the already finished-render frames just gets removed and the rightmost green bar just keeps moving right.
This isn’t supposed to happen. I don’t know what’s going on. Also, the propagation is insanely slow and I’m using a RTX 3060 here. The first time I tried rotobtrush it was relatively fast, but after I made a couple of frame adjustments (encompassing the whole character), it got slower.
What is the cause of this? I tried rotobrush on another computer before and I thought it was just the computer being too old, but this computer is relatively new and it’s got i7 12th gen and RTX 3060 and 16 GB RAM on it. It’s not supposed to propagate at the speed of a snail. I have also set the disk cache storage for After Effects to be 70 GB. (When I purged the cache it was less than 500 MB… not sure this was related to disk cache.)
Please let me know what’s going on because I do need this feature in the future.
Thank you! 🙏🏼
