Hi just curious if anyone in this area has recently replaced their home AC. Trying to get an idea of current fair price. This would be for replacing 3.5 ton 15 SEER fan and air handler/heat pump units. The handler is indoor closet install as opposed to attic. House is about 1,800sf.

If anyone has replaced something similar or in that size range within the last year or two, would love any info you could share as far as cost, company you used, and whether you were happy with their work. Ive only got a quote from one company so far but it seems really high and the guy that came out just gave me super “dishonest used car salesman” vibes. Waiting on appointments with two others. Don’t mind paying a little more for quality work but I’m having to make serious sacrifices to be able afford this so just trying to make sure I don’t get taken advantage of or upsold. There’s already another post about why it’s best to do Oscar first, then other boss, then world event so I’m not gonna go over all that again. But I noticed a lot of people complaining in that post about no one saying anything in chat when they’re starting Oscar. I personally always call it out but just FYI….Oscar container always spawns at 45:15 and always at the Winery. So although if you’re the one starting it, it’s still courteous to drop a line in chat, if you’re not the one starting it, you now know the when and where and don’t need to rely on that person or worry you won’t get there in time.
