Two A-10s Overflying the city

I'm assuming overflying fan fest? I was just going for a walk along the trail, did not expect to see that

Squeaking noises when steering wheel is turned

How serious of a concern is it when my model 3 screams in pain every time I turn the steering wheel or hit a numb? This started as a quiet squeaking noise occasionally when I got a bump, now it sounds like a dog toy is stuck in the steering column every time I turn the wheel. Despite this, the car does seem to drive and handle fine. I can feel a slight difference in friction when I turn the wheel, but if it didn't make a noise as well, I probably wouldn't even notice

I've got a 2018 long range Model 3 with a little over 90k miles. So far the drive unit and battery seem totally fine with 290+ miles of estimated range still with very little loss year over year, but I did get a warning from Tesla that my drive unit warranty is about to expire. Anyone with old Tesla's have any input as to if there is any justifiable reason to get the extended warranty? Has anyone here ever had to make use of the warranty? Is Tesla super stringent? Or will they actually cover battery replacement if you have the warranty?
