36F - Fight to the Death - Robert McCall (Equalizer) versus John Wick (...John Wick) Who Would Win?

Can't sleep, and seeking some silly lighthearted debates. And tonight I want to discuss a deadly showdown between Robert McCall (Equalizer franchise) versus John Wick (John Wick franchise).

I'll be honest, I'm primarily interested in those that have already seen both film franchises and is in the mood for a very unserious spirited debate (or at least passionate about playing devil's advocate).

I'll start -- I believe Robert McCall would absolutely smoke John Wick.

Let's hear your thoughts : )

Should We Promote Books by Authors Who’ve Caused Documented Harm?

Inspired by recent discussions on Lena Dunham — I wanted to raise the question of whether this community should draw a line around promoting the works of authors who have actively caused documented harm — racism, abuse, etc. And whether doing so is in tension with fostering a community that is genuinely welcoming and inclusive. Not solely about Lena, but opening this up to all bad actors.

Does it matter if the harm was caused to a group we are not a part of? Does it matter if we never personally experienced that harm? Are we separating art from the artist?

Where does the line get drawn — or should we just allow whatever, without critical thought or discussion?

Hoping to have a genuinely respectful conversation on this topic.

36 [F4M] #California / #Anywhere - Online to offline > seeking mischief co-conspirator

Hey there! 36 year old woman from California here. It's Friday, and gorgeous out so I just can't be bothered to focus on work anymore! Anyone else in the same boat?

I’m single, communicative, and open. I’m mixed Black with a caramel complexion, 5’5, plus-sized, with tattoos, piercings, a sharp mind, and a softer body. I love reading books that are like me (both dense and thick), off-kilter art house cinema, traveling to places I cannot pronounce, trying to determine if my theremin is actually playable (or if I’m only capable of summoning ghosts), and learning languages that may or may not be useful in my future. I also deeply appreciate people who know how to laugh at themselves, harmless mischief, and the sacred art of napping. I'm unserious, but honest, as the only games I like to play are the ones where we both win.

What I’m looking for — a monogamous adventure partner. Someone 33–43, single, and without kids. Someone curious and open-minded who’s interested in getting to know me in a real, intentional way, not just the “online forever” way. Someone goofy, and kind, and the good kind of weird. I have a soft spot for genuinely funny men, musicians, and those who speak more than one language.

While no one is perfect, I find that our imperfections usually make for the funniest — and most endearing — character traits.

If you’ve read this far — I’d love to chat! Send a message with a little bit about you and maybe the name of a film you unreasonably hate 🙂

Hey there! It’s a typical Wednesday night — slow and quiet and I’m doing a bit of painting (traditional). I’d love to find a chatty partner to banter with a bit between brush strokes.

What’s got you excited these days? Anything you’re living for?

I enjoy reading books that are like me (dense and thick), traveling to places I cannot pronounce, looking at maps and then never following them, and singing better than Yoko Ono ever could.

I’ll be puttering around my house, spilling paint, and narrowly avoiding drinking paint water so come join me! :)
