[ADVICE] Please let me do my own things without AI

I think this might actually be more help than advice now that I think of it, but I need both. I'm trying to create a profile, but anytime I try to create an overview, like a little blurb, I HAVE to use the AI tool to generate it?

I click "Post a project brief." I type my own, already thought out and written brief. WHY is the only option to generate a brief? I don't want you to take the words I've written Fiverr and churn them through the little AI bot to make something different and worse. I wrote the words how I want them.

This is a huge turnoff from the site that AI isn't even a pushed option but seemingly the only option for even creating a profile. Experienced users, is it even worth it? Is there a way to actually create a coherent, complete profile and briefs without using this AI mess?

How common is spam really

I just posted my first official sample on ACX as I'm trying to properly fill out my profile so that RH can look at it after an audition. I expected some spam, but doing this less than 12 hours ago, the amount of spam I already have is surprising. Does this calm down after a while? Is this mostly because my sample would have been the "top" of the sample list because it's newer? Should I expect similar things each time I post or update a new sample? Trying to figure out if this will just be my life for a week or two.

It's very obvious that they're spam and not real offers, but it's still disappointing to see a message notification only to open it to find yet another "opportunity" that's just spam.

What's up with all the unclaimed titles?

I'm new to the ACX community, so first off, you guys are amazing! Ive read tons of old posts and gotten a wealth of info. You all are so helpful, kind to newcomers and willing to help, its really cool to see and I'm excited to hopefully be a part of it.

I had a question about some of the older books available on ACX. I've noticed that there's almost 200 pages of audiobooks to choose from when the filters are off, but some of them are a couple of months old, some even going back to the beginning of this year. Sometimes I've noticed that a book that I was interested in auditioning for disappears from the front page within just a day or two, so why are all of these other books still there with so many months between when they were posted and now?

Some of them are AI slop or just bad and I can understand why they might still be there, but some of them seem to be perfectly legitimate and decently selling books. Is it a red flag or at least a yellow flag for these books that have been on so long just like when a house is on the market too long it's often something wrong with it? Or is it just perhaps that these authors are a little bit more picky with who the narrator is or haven't found the right person yet? It shocked me to see so many older titles, especially when I know there are so many people giving the industry a try (like myself) who might be a little less picky about what they start with.

Any insight you all have is helpful! I'll still give it a go to audition for some of these older ones, but I wanted to ask this before I do a ton if its often just a waste of time. Right now its great practice learning to audition and get my feet wet!
