I could never find or afford the OG Matchbox version as a kid. I had gotten the recent Voltron ‘84 box set version and was okay with that, but my wife and mother in-law decided to surprise me with a belated birthday gift.

I’m stunned and feel a bit silly to be on the verge of tears but it’s not just the toy, it’s the thoughtfulness of my family.

I can’t wait to get him on display. I am working on a display of stuff from when I was a kid in the 80s and 90s of which Voltron will be the centerpiece.

Any other Voltron kids out there? Show me your stuff!

I use music to inspire my action figure and toy photography. As “Untitled” is constantly stuck in my head, I thought I would use it in a shoot. Here’s a little video of pics I made for my TikTok feed. I used a few Mafex figures to fill in as members of the band. Which figures playing which band members makes me giggle a little bit.

This was all for my own amusement, so it’s not as polished as I would like, but it was a lot of fun to make. Thanks for looking!
