Sold my S5II to get the S9. Now I'm second guessing.

Hey all. I just sold my S5II to get the S9. I have not purchased the S9 yet, However, I am now wondering if there is something better in terms of compact everyday camera. The S9 fits the bill size wise and I can keep all of my lenses BUT the no evf and having to change the shutter speed/F-stop in the menu, doesn't seem great. I think I can deal with no flash.

Anybody switch over to the Lumix S9 from the S5II and love it? Hate it? Work arounds, or did you go with a different camera?

TIA!

Need recommendations on incontinence medication to ask vet about and ways to rid pee smell!

Hey all. My Catahoula/Black Mouth Cur is getting more and more incontinent. She’s 12. She has been on Proin for about 5 years and it’s getting worse. She’s up to twice daily 75mg. She still pees when she’s sleeping, so as you can imagine, her regular foam bed is smelling 2 days after a wash and it ends up not fully smelling better.

I just switched them to raised beds with a thin topper so I can more easily and frequently clean them. The problem is I feel like the smell is getting worse. I’ve gotten enzyme cleaner for the tile floors, used it in the wash with her new topper and I cannot get the urine smell to go away.

TLDR: I would love recommendations on other medicines I can ask my vet about that worked for your dog’s incontinence (besides Proin) and any suggestions on getting rid of the pee smell?

Test Drive coming from never owning an EV

I've been enthused with EVs for the last 5 or so years. I have only ever driven a Mach-E, 1 time. I'm not used to regen braking, torque or anything having to do with EVs. I am very tech savy so I'm up to date with current EVs, just have never owned or daily driven them. My current daily is a 2016 Kia Rio that is paid off and honestly, treats me good. However, we got the wife a Kia Sportage a couple years ago and I absolutely love driving it and have been itching to make a move to a mid-size SUV.

Today I test drove it and WOW. It felt amazing.

Regen Braking. It's a new thing for me. I had it on standard at first but quickly changed it to low just to get a feel for it. It's definitely very touchy and almost feels like letting off the throttle of a jetski. It's about finding the balance. By the end of my drive I tested the limits to come to a quick stop at a stop sign and I overshot it but I think I was reaching the limits of the low setting.

Power/Torque. This thing is quick. I loved how it accelerated but to me it didn't feel disconnected from the car. My Kia Rio has a 4 cylinder engine and when I go to floor it, it has some catching up to do so I enjoyed being able to punch it and it not feel like I could lose control.

Audio. I played A Milli by Lil Wayne, Billie Jean by MJ and a few others. It sounded good. A bit tinny on highs. The sound didn't sound punchy but I didn't play with the audio settings too much. I moved bass and mids up a bit. I got it to where it sounded pretty good, i'm sure it could get better.

SN: Whoever it was at the Tampa Bay Rivian and had their test drive today in the Half Moon Grey or Catalina Cove and connected their apple account to the car, they said they were going to have to reset the car because of you LOL

Handling. I made a few quick sharp turns and I felt grounded. In Conserve mode it was a bit lackluster because I'm assuming its dialing back the torque so that's not a bad thing. The different suspensions we're pretty cool. I could definitely feel the difference in each setting. I'm curious on how the premium and standard versions will feel without all the dampening.

Overall. This car felt amazing to drive in with ample head room (I'm 6'2 270lbs). The doors felt responsive to open from the inside. Back seats were comfortable to sit in. Cargo space and frunk felt adequate compared to Kia Sportage. This honestly feels like a well thought out vehicle. I don't know if I will actually purchase the Launch Edition tbh. I may wait for next year to see what the standard feels like. Since I currently drive two gas vehicles and am used to them, I still think the standard will be the step up I need at a better cost. The guy I spoke to did say they are allocating a ton of Launch Editions. He basically said if you specified you wanted a launch edition and had an earlier reservation and you get called, they will build it for you. He alluded to it being almost 10K allocated for R2 Launch Editions unlike with the R1T and R1S where he said it was like 500 and 500. (These were his words not mine).

Looking for suggestions on Autofocus SLRs or Point & Shoot cameras!

Hey all. I am going to the Mediterranean in the next 2 months. I am trying to figure out the best camera to bring. I have my trusty Yashica FX-2 but I kind of want an autofocus camera for quickness which brings me to my Pentax IQZooms or Nikon F50. I am leaning toward the Nikon F50 and getting a 24/28mm for it, it's just a little on the bigger side.

Are there any autofocus SLRs or point & shoot cameras you guys would recommend looking to take on a 12 day Mediterranean trip? Budget would be under $350 if getting a new camera.

Thanks in advance!
