upscaling in fcp 1080 to 4k
Any experience upscaling 1080 to 4k in fcp? It sounds like the program just crops in on the footage a bit? I've got an older sony cam and at 120 it only shoots in 1080p.

I just threw this together thinking about my dog and all the good times we've had together.

A coworker gave me a basic lighting setup/backdrop kit. 2 softboxes 2 shoot through white umbrellas. This is from my first use. I only setup the 2 softboxes, figuring the umbrellas might be overpowering for my impromptu basement setup. I’ll try some more later tonight/tomorrow. These lights are all continuous, as in no flash. I have a smaller battery powered light I’m gonna place behind the dog to try for some rimlight. Shot on Sony a7iii with a 50mm lens. I’m a hobbyist for years, but glad I got a hand me down kit and fun to play in my tiny “studio.” Any critiques welcome.
I think she’s telling me to stop scrolling Reddit and get back to reading her the story
Wondering what others are getting using active track on mini 5 for boats. I realize that max drone speed in tracking is 20-25mph and the wind factor. I've played with the focus track settings and it still seems the drone often doesn't get as close or low as I'd like. Also the RC2 has told me that auto mode isn't allowed for boats. Is this only for walking and biking? I realize it's risky flying to low to water, but avoiding large waves and low batteries, does a newer drone ever just lose altitude and take a splash? Thx for sharing your experiences. Sorry the vid is in 720p to expedite export and upload.
I took a vacation and am gonna make a travel video now. I have footage from five cameras: phone, drone, pocket 3, mirrorless body w/various lenses and a gopro.
Some clips are quite long and need trimming. Thinking of doing this in QT or similar to avoid bloat before placing in fcp library. I'm hoping once everything is in the library it is organized from earliest date. All the cameras are good on this except the gopro(its internal memory loses time date without a charged battery installed).
I'm just trying to find a template for a smooth work flow for this project and in the future. I've been making videos for five years for personal enjoyment and to share w/friends. Thanks for any info.
