MOQs

how do you go about determining your MOQs for contract manufacturing? add up R&D, changeover, setup costs, admin costs to get a program up and running, on top of any optimal batch/run size costs?

thanks!

Remote employees

Remote work threads popped up in my feed, took a look and pretty shocked at attitudes towards companies, self entitlement anti social anti collaborative and wage theft quiet quitting tactics.

I have a factory so only one remote and she is great, but id do major due diligence before going ever more broadly remote for certain positions

WFH risks

Nobody really posts about the risks of WFH going forward. Companies were forced to do it quickly and broadly for covid, many were not ready for that change. As they catch up and get the productivity levels dialed in, things go up for review.

Secondly, WFH, especially transactional jobs and even strategic/creative/management are on the block from AI tools/agents.

Third, the lack of in-person networking for retention(keeping your job), raises/promotions or getting a new job elsewhere. In-person relationships is still a big thing.

Lastly, as companies have got dialed in better and WFH now opens the applicant market worldwide, means more competition for each job and potentially lower compensation.

With added softness in economy, costs and organizations are being looked at pretty hard right now and into the foreseeable future.
