For those who overcame anger and impulsiveness, what actually worked for you?
I desperately need help managing my impulsiveness and anger with my husband.
He is one of the most caring, patient and genuine people I know, and instead of appreciating that, I turn every disagreement into a fight. I weaponize his words against him, say things I don’t truly mean in the heat of the moment and react before I think. I am overwhelmed with regret and shame only minutes later.
I started therapy at the end of last year to work on my anger and anxiety, and it only helped temporarily.
I love my husband deeply. I truly want to spend the rest of my life with him, but I’m terrified that if I don’t change, one day he’ll wake up and be done with me. I worry that all the patience and grace he’s shown me will run out eventually, and I wouldn’t blame him.
I think a big part of the problem is that I have an anxious attachment style while he’s more avoidant. He’s spent years working on himself, long before we met, and I’ve always admired and supported that. But every time I lose control during an argument, I’m undoing the safety and progress we’ve both worked hard to build.
Don’t get me wrong, this is not a compatibility issue. It’s a self-discipline and emotional regulation issue. I believe it is rooted in anxiety more than anything else, but that doesn’t excuse my behavior or the hurt I cause.
He’s doing everything he can to make this marriage work. Meanwhile, I take his kindness for granted and end up hurting the person I love most.
I don’t want to be this person anymore. I am sick of my behavior and don’t want my husband to become collateral damage while I figure it out.
If you’ve been in a similar place and genuinely changed (not just for a few weeks, but long term) what helped? I’m willing to do the work. I desperately need to know where to go from here before it’s too late. Please. Thank you.
About Hogwarts Legacy 2… hear me out
I may be new to this sub, but I’m not new to Harry Potter. I’ve been reading and rereading the books since I was 9 years old (I’m now in my late twenties), and I’ve already completed two playthroughs of Hogwarts Legacy.
Like many others, I absolutely loved the first 15 to 20 hours. Seeing Hogwarts brought to life, exploring every corridor, flying over the grounds, wandering around Hogsmeade all fulfilled my childhood dreams.
That said, after the initial excitement wore off, I found the gameplay became pretty repetitive. The quests started feeling very similar. I also think the game really needed a stronger, more engaging story with deeper ties to the lore.
So, as someone who’s been a Harry Potter fan for most of my life, those are the two biggest things I’d love to see improved in the sequel: a richer story and more varied gameplay.
We’ve all seen the rumors and leaks about Hogwarts Legacy 2 potentially including Privet Drive, King’s Cross Station and an open world several times larger than the first game. I have no idea how reliable those leaks are but they made me wonder.
Personally, my dream setting would be a prequel taking place around the founding of Hogwarts.
Imagine experiencing the era of the four founders, learning why they chose that location, seeing the friendship (and eventual falling out) between the founders, witnessing Salazar Slytherin create the Chamber of Secrets and leave behind the basilisk. I know it is unrealistic, but wouldn’t that be an incredible setting for a Harry Potter game?
There’s already plenty of lore from Rowling to draw inspiration from. I wouldn’t expect the writers to follow every detail exactly, because they could tell a story while using the lore as a foundation.
Regarding the side content, I enjoyed things like Gobstones, the moth paintings and helping NPCs around the castle. I’d love to see those kinds of activities return, but with more variety and creativity. More classroom-related quests and challenges that actually make you feel like a Hogwarts student please!!
One last (possibly controversial) opinion: I really hope the developers take some inspiration from games like Skyrim and The Legend of Zelda. Not because I want Hogwarts Legacy to become those games, but because they are truly excellent examples of exploration, meaningful side quests and areas in the world that constantly surprise you.
Either way I’m excited for the sequel and will certainly be one of the first people to preorder it.
Anyway, those are my ramblings. What would you like to see in the sequel?

Girls of r/lebanon: what’s the most unhinged thing your boyfriend’s/fiancé’s/husband’s mother has ever done to you?
OR men: what’s the craziest thing your mom did toward your wife/fiancée that made you realize “yeah this is not normal”?
Stuff like
- weird jealousy

- passive aggressive comments
- “my son likes it this way”
- trying to compete with the wife somehow???
Just wanna know how common this is, so drop your stories!
Update: I resigned after the AI “assessment” email
Original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/antiwork/s/9rzb8hSnN0
A few days ago I posted here about the CEO sending the team an unhinged email literally demanding that we all submit prompts to AI so the AI could “assess” us, with the implication that our jobs depended on it.
After some back and forth, I resigned two days later.
I kept it very dry and nondramatic. I avoided any big speeches or confrontation and quietly resigned.
To my surprise, CEO said he completely understood and asked if I could just finish out my notice period remotely until the end of the month, which works just fine for me. I’ll get a full month’s pay for half the effort.
At this point I’m basically just wrapping up existing tasks and not being assigned anything new anymore. Weirdly enough, it feels very liberating. I didn’t realize how mentally exhausted I was there until things became quiet.
The biggest thing making this easier is that I’m relocating soon to be with my husband, so for once I’m not under immediate pressure to jump into another job right away. I’ll start job hunting once I’m settled in a few weeks.
Right now I mostly just feel relieved.
Thanks to the AI email I guess, because it ended up being the final push I needed.
Never thought I’d agree with Gebran, but here we are

Mandatory: AI-Assisted Performance Review — Deadline Friday 8th of May
Hello Team,
The standards we hold ourselves to at (Company name) are high, and they must be. The work we do matters. Our funders trust us. The public depends on us. I've been reviewing the team's output and I'm not satisfied that we are operating anywhere near our potential; in many cases, I'd estimate we are delivering only a fraction of what each role should produce.
This is the moment to course-correct.
Each of you has been asked to open a Claude Pro account. By [Wedensday 05:00 PM], I want every team member to complete the following and send me the result by Friday 12:00 noon:
- Create a Claude Pro account and log in.
- Copy the prompt* in this link, fill it in honestly with your role, responsibilities, current workload, and recent output.
- Send me the complete conversation (your prompt and Claude's full analysis) by the deadline above.
I will read every response personally.
The purpose of this exercise is not paperwork. It is to identify, for each of you individually, where we are leaving value on the table and how you can step up. I expect Claude's analysis to surface concrete, actionable improvements and I expect to see those improvements implemented in the following weeks.
To be very clear: anyone who cannot demonstrate meaningful progress after this exercise will be replaced. I would rather have a smaller team** operating at full capacity than a larger team coasting.
I am available for questions about the tools or the prompt. I am not available for excuses.

*The prompt in question:
I work at (Company name). Below is everything you need
to give me a serious, honest analysis of my work and how I can dramatically improve my
output using you and other AI tools.
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
[Brief description — e.g., X company is a marketing agency in Transylvania
serving 200+ companies, producing reports, data platforms. - Google for more]
MY ROLE
- Job title:
- Reporting to:
- Core responsibilities (A, B, C from my job description):
WHAT I AM EXPECTED TO DELIVER
WHAT I AM ACTUALLY DOING DAY TO DAY
[Honest breakdown of how I spend my time, recurring tasks, meetings, admin, etc.
Do not sanitize this — be accurate.]
WORK FROM THE LAST TWO WEEKS
[Bullet list of everything I worked on — completed, in progress, or stalled. Include
the time roughly spent on each.]
ATTACHED EXAMPLES
[2–3 real outputs from the last two weeks: a report, a draft, a deck, an email thread,
a spreadsheet, etc.]
WHAT I NEED FROM YOU
- An honest, critical assessment of the gap between what I am delivering and whatmy role actually demands. Do not flatter me.
- Specific ways to expedite my recurring tasks using Claude and other AI tools —with example prompts I can copy and use immediately.
- New avenues, projects, or contributions I should be proposing to my manager thatwould meaningfully expand my impact in this role.
- Specific tools, workflows, and templates I should adopt — name them, do not begeneric.
Be direct. Do not soften feedback. Assume my job depends on me genuinely improving
in the next 30 days — because it does.
