Multiple week wait for scan results.

Background: June 2024, pure seminoma, orchi, staged 1A. June 26 CT scan showed undetermined lymph nodes in lower abdomen. Doc ordered PET/CT.

After over a month of waiting a more than a few phone calls, I finally got my PET/CT scheduled. I’ll be going in next Monday.

Today I get a super frustrating phone call from my doctor saying it will take three weeks to get the results.

That makes zero sense to me. My CT scan results came back within 24 hrs from the same facility.

My understanding is that seminoma really ‘likes’ the radioactive glucose and it will be fairly clear as to if the cancer is back.

Is that a false presumption?

No DCS this week for me (hardware failure)

I installed DCS on a dedicated internal SSD (Crucial T500 2tb) last summer. Ran great. Fast forward to today, haven’t played DCS in about two months, figured I’d update it and was thinking about getting the F-100. Click my desktop shortcut….drive location does not exist.

Been trouble shooting for an hour now. No luck.

Checked it in disk management. Not there (figured I’d start easy)
Checked it in BIOS, not there
Re-seated card, repeated BIOS check, no go.
Swapped M.2 slot, repeated BIOS check, Not recognized (other card was, so the M.2 slots are good)

Kind of resigned to the card being dead.

Any ideas?

Sigh.

Edit: just found out Crucial stopped operations in February. So no warranty anymore. Bummer

2 Year Scan - Confused

2024 TC pure seminoma, clean margins. Orchi followed by monitoring.

Went in for my two year blood work and CT scan yesterday. Blood work was good/normal. Urologist said the scans looked good too. Then this morning he called me back and said the radiologist had concerns about two lymph-nodes. They are working to schedule me for a PET scan now.

Honestly was kinda shocked. To go from the high of another clear scan, to this.

Reading through here the past two years, I understand that nodes react to illness, ect. It also seems like without increase in markers, it shouldn’t be as concerning.

Keeping a positive attitude.

Nephew played on my Account…

Had a good laugh today, let my 8 year old nephew play some other games on my ipad. At some point he apparently found WoT, proceeded to play and loose 30 games or so straight. Received tons of downvotes, surprised I didn’t get banned.

Only found out when he came to me and said, this tank game is hard. So I showed him how to play, actually got some random wins but was mostly useless. More downvotes.

I’m never gonna financially recover from this. lmao

Background: had provoked DVT post knee surgery. Was put on 90 Eliquis treatment.

Some good news, had my 90 day ultrasound done Friday morning. Doc had both legs done ‘why not’ was his take. Scans were clear! Yesterday was my final day on Eliquis.

He said it would take about 72 hrs to fully leave my system. Pretty excited as this means I can get back to my primary job….flying.

I guess in the future, I’ll need to go on something post surgery since this provoked DVT occurred. Is that a fair assumption?
