Is my honey spoiled or still safe to eat?

I have a jar of linden honey. It was solid (resembled smooth peanut butter), and had a pale yellow color when I bought it. I kept it in a kitchen closet during use and recently found that it turned into a liquid with 3 layers.

A quick internet search says that honey normally crystallizes and separates over time into 2 layers with different colors. But there are 3 layers in my honey (pale layer sandwiched between 2 dark layers) and all of them are liquid. It doesn't have a particularly strange/sour smell (smells like honey).

What is happening? Is it still safe to eat?

Where to get a second opinion (or help) from a researcher?

Hello! I'm currently working on a paper with my supervisor (a post-doc).

At some point I've learned that my supervisor comments mean more than they appear (like they will say consider when they actually mean for you to obey) and all that.

That being said, I'm very new to academic research and have no idea on how to interpret their comments. Every time I ask my supervisor they just look at me like I'm an idiot and recently their patience is running thin.

I'm also stuck in this very exhausting loop of making changes → apparently that's not they wanted → more changes. And i feel like progress is not being made.

Now I would very much like to ask another professor/anyone who knows anything about research and have them look over the manuscript+comments to help me figure out what exactly my supervisor is talking about.

However, everyone I know are unfortunately also students like me, and my professors may not be willing to give advice over a research paper that's not theirs. Especially considering that my supervisor is likely unwilling to share the unpublished manuscript.

Is it still a good idea to ask other professors for help? Or do I just keep the paper between me and my supervisor? Who do I ask for help? How do other new researchers overcome this?

How do you verify products when buying stuff online?

When buying off Amazon, I'd sometimes see branded products and some of their dupes. I'd usually be able to verify whether the brand actually makes a certain product via a quick search on their official google website.

But I've recently gone on the Amazon equivalent of China (Taobao and PDD) and saw many store claiming to be the "official" or "flagship" store. A quick search for "[brand]官网" on Baidu doesn't really do anything but pop out lots of unrelated stuff. It's messy and unverified, while international engines like Google and Safari usually sort websites by relevance and "official" web domains.

Are official sites uncommon in China for domestic brands? Even for giant brands like Xiaomi, do you just trust the platform's tags? Or do most people go to physical stores to verify products such as electronics before buying?

[Routine Help] When and how to use jojoba oil?

I have very oily skin that is prone to sebum plugs and acne, and only use a few products:

- Cleanser: with small amounts of salicylic acid and amino acid

- Sunscreen

- Some liquid from face masks as my only moisturizer, I found that lotion causes acne breakouts

I heard that jojoba oil helps with dissolving sebum so I decided to get some, but am unsure of when and how to use it, my routine is as follows:

- I wash my face in the morning with cleanser, moisturize and apply sunscreen on top (I don't wear makeup)

- I take a bath at around 9pm and wash my face with cleanser, I then apply moisturizer before I dry my hair as drying my hair dries out my face

- My face gets very oily in an hour, so I wash my face with cleanser again and moisturize just before bed (11pm)

Where in my routine should I use jojoba oil? Do I need to use cleanser before and after jojoba oil? Do I need to use the oil twice a day or is just once enough? I would really appreciate your advice!

A manuscript I submitted to a journal has been sent back saying that it hasn't been anonymized. But the manuscript document contains no author information, no self-citing, no word comments and no institution name.

The only institution name that was shown is the ethical approval of the public CHARLS dataset (that is not from my institution).

How do I anonymize this? Won't it be problematic if the manuscript doesn't show what data we used? It's not our data.
