Must-dos for a solo traveler?

I’m taking a quick trip to Santa Barbara next weekend. I should get there from LA around dinner time on Friday and leave early-ish Sunday.

Any must-do recommendations for a solo traveler? I’m a woman in my mid-30s bringing my small, well-behaved dog. The dog’s not wildly active, but I have a stroller for her when she gets tired.

I’m a fairly active person (except I don’t know how to ride a bike) and I don’t mind doing MOST things alone, although something like a wine tasting alone would probably be too much. I just moved into a new apartment, so I definitely would love to find some cute and quirky shops for decor while I’m there, in addition to any hikes/restaurants ya’ll would recommend.

Let me just preface by saying: I’m very dumb. It’s my first time painting a wall.

Before painting this wall, I painted a bunch of paint samples on it to determine what color looked good. I didn’t even think to sand down the wall where I did that and assumed the new paint would basically cover it up (again, dumb! First time!) It mostly did except for this one square that’s on a very prominent part of the wall — it’s basically staring at your in the face when you walk into my apartment.

I have two coats on the wall and am going to do one more tomorrow (maybe two more). Would it be even more stupid to sand down this section before going in with the next coat? The paint is dark and shows imperfections like nobody’s business, so I’m trying not to make it even worse.
