I’m looking for advice on what is the best dainty but still strong and not prone to snagging gold chain to hold a pendant? I’ve heard very mixed reviews so I’m not sure. The photo is the kind of charm I’m looking to buy and I’m unsure what chain to get to go with it.

I’ve tried numerous times to remove these filters, but I can’t and all the tutorials I can find online are for ones with a hole or a different removal mechanism. Any advice is appreciated.
