Alpha System

OK help me out here, I'm struggling lol. I think I'm pretty dialed (minus a lighter shelter, which is coming): https://lighterpack.com/r/la5hja, but I can't figure out how to insulate properly for my style, mostly CA 3-season, coastal, Sierras and San Gabriels. I just picked up a Cerium to replace my Cotopaxi Fuego for next season HST, but I feel like it's overkill for my typical use-case. Is anyone running a pure Alpha system and what are you using?

Tent Packing

I'm currently carrying a Fly Creek (waiting to pull the trigger on a trekking pole tent until next season), and I've always used a stuff sack, rolled. Now I'm reading that a lot of hikers are just stuffing their tents into the tops of their packs folded or not at all to maximize space. I'd carry my poles on the outside. Is that reasonable?

ETA I'm having a 40L frameless built so I'm nervous about space for long hauls.

Supremely Frustrated

I've met with two local OCD specialists and both have declined to treat me because of how severe my history and symptoms are. One recommended in-patient because ERP has made me suicidal in the past. I work in healthcare and my themes center around harm and omission so I get exposed at work all day everyday. I do mental compulsions to cope. As of today, I've been dissociating for 5 straight days. It's just so exhausting and demoralizing.

Headlamps

Ounces not pounds right? ;)

I'm probably going to pull the trigger on a NU25 MCT UL so I can save on spare battery weight with my Zipka but I'm concerned about long haul capacity. I'm carrying an NB10000, but I also use Alltrails on my phone and an Enduro 3. Are there any better options? What are you contingencies for thru hike applications?

Fanny Packs

Fanny packs: Never carried one but I'm intrigued by the concept now that I'm experimenting with < 40L capacities. Who carries one and what do you carry? Lightest/most comfortable?

Pack Options

I'm proud to report that I've gotten my dry kit minus my pack to 7.9 lbs. I'm sourcing packs now. Curious to know your thoughts: https://lighterpack.com/r/mxl0rb

Planning to order a Kakwa 55 when they come back in stock for long haul applications but I've also read conflicting info about the Hyperlite Junction. Not excited about carrying heavier loads without load lifters though.

I also really want to custom build a Hilltop Raven D 40. I own an Ascensionist for mountaineering so I'm used to frameless packs but it's a bit too heavy for me. Does anyone own one? Comfort ratings seem great.

How Do I Save My Relationship?

My wife and I have had a strong relationship because we value each other's space and set healthy boundaries. But my OCD has progressively worsened and as it has, my wife has gotten stricter about reassurance and safety behaviors.

In principle, this should allow me to strengthen my responses to exposures, but in reality it's driving us apart. Her mental health suffers every time I have an incident so she's forced to drive a wedge between us for her own sake. This morning I was so intractable that I could barely get dressed and she had to snap at me to do my house chores before leaving for work.

I know she loves me, but I feel like it's a matter of time until our relationship is unrecognizable. How do I separate affection from reassurance when I'm triggered all day everyday?
