Trying to be supportive but I'm tired
My wife has discovered over the last few months that she is a woman and I'm so happy for her and am supportive of her starting hrt soon. However. I'm exhausted and feel like I can't give her the emotional support she needs right now. We have two kids ages 3.5 and 9 months and neither reliably sleep through the night and I'm breastfeeding the baby. My mental health has been hot garbage and I've got a huge stressful project at work. I'm in the trenches of life and motherhood right now. I just had to schedule occupational therapy for the baby so I feel like a failure that he needs it. My job is going through a big change as well so there's extra pressure to do everything perfectly. Life is just a lot. I had my doctor increase my ssri dosage and I got scheduled to go back to therapy but idk how I'm going to scrape together PTO for my appointments and the baby's OT. I'm struggling to juggle it all. And at the end of the day when the kids are finally in bed and I'm trying to prep bottles and pump parts and lunch for the next chaotic morning rush out the door, she desperately needs me to listen to her talk about her gender and her transition and help her with her style and reassure her for the millionth time that yes I really am okay with all this and still love her. And I'm just so fucking tired. I'm happy she's blossoming and discovering herself but it's hard to be supportive when I have nothing left to give and have completely lost myself already.
