"have another so she'll have someone to play with"

Currently at the park with my only. She's happily playing by herself, climbing, going down slides, running around, occasionally pretend play and bringing me "food" from her store- but mostly entertaining herself.

Meanwhile, a dad is here with his two kids, pretty close in age, I'd guess 5-7. One kid wants to be pushed on the swing, one kid is yelling at Dad to come play a game with him on the playground. A few minutes ago, one wanted to ride his scooter around the park but the other wanted to climb... They do not have any interest in playing together and dad is struggling...

I know this is a smalllllll tiny window into their day, I'm sure the kids do frequently play together, buttttt I think it's also helpful to see/know that siblings are not automatic play mates.

Parking in Toronto?

Hi! We are currently driving to Toronto from Michigan. We are staying at the Sutton Place hotel. After scouring Reddit, we've quickly learned driving in Toronto is not recommended. Do you suggest just leaving the car in a parking garage for the week?? Are there places driving makes sense?

Thanks!

At a familiar place with my weightloss...

I am currently at a place in my weightloss that I've been at a dozen times before and I think it's giving me unnecessary anxiety.

I have been bouncing between 220 and 250 for the last ten years...I started Zep in April this year and it's been great. It's genuinely working and working well so I know this current anxiety is just nonsense. I also know that the rate I have been losing isn't sustainable and was going to slow down.

It is just hilarious that it's slowing down at 225 which is historically where I've always given up and gained all the weight back..

The medicine is still doing wonders for food noise and appetite but it's my other shitty habits kicking in - like not tracking consistently anymore, being less intentional, and just being less optimistic overall.

Just writing this out for myself more than anything to help get me back in the right mindset. Zep is working and it's wonderful. The pace was going to slow down, that is understandable. 3 lbs a week was not maintainable. Even if you lose .5 a pound a week, you're okay. Even if you gain a pound at one point, that doesn't mean it's not working. Start tracking your food again, you lazy bitch. I love you.

Almond Danish Kringle

My Achilles heal, my kryptonite, my harmartia...

This medication has been amazing for me. My food noise has quieted, my cravings gone.. I don't think about food hardly at all. I can have snacks in the house without eating them all in one sitting. I can finally eat things in moderation and understand what being full feels like.

Then I brought home the Almond Danish Kringle from Trader Joe's yesterday. I expected I would have a little slice for breakfast or an after dinner sweet treat... And while I didn't eat the entire thing in one sitting - I did eat A LOT of it throughout the day and thought about it all day long..

So, no Kringle in my house. I have found my weakness.
