This society fucking sucks

I'm frustrated with the discrimination. I think there should be more open discussion about mixed-sect families in Kuwait, but to normalize the idea that two consenting adults from different sects can love each other and build a family.

I'd especially like to hear from people in successful Sunni–Shia marriages. What made it work? How did you convince your families? And what did you wish your families had understood?
