This is a very niche question. I’m a military spouse and I’m in the process of becoming a licensed clinical social worker. I’m a bit afraid of the job opportunities with the frequent moves. Do any of you with that profession have any advice or can share what it’s like for you? I am not interested in working as a councilor for the military.
If you work in a similar field your advice is more than welcome as well!

Hey everyone!

I’m looking for some advice…my boyfriend will have to PCS back to the states next year in June and I will go with him but until then he will be in training for most of the time except for December which leaves us no time for him to propose and to have a ceremony. He told me that’s just how it is in the military that the military makes things unromantic because of the timing sometimes.

But I want the nice proposal and a ceremony. I can wait for the ceremony but I feel like he’s just using the time issue to get out of having to plan a nice proposal. I don’t know…it doesn’t seem like he’s concerned about arranging things for a proposal. I could be wrong and he’s secretly planning things but I really don’t think so.

What were you guys’ experience with minimal time to do all that?

Hey! I am looking to apply for the Syracuse Advanced Standing MSW for August 2027. I am an international student relocated to the US. Does anyone have experience with this university and tell me how they like it? Any comment is highly appreciated!
