So is this normal?

So this is the first time I've unassigned an order and, you just get a contract violation? Idk why I thought we could unassign if we had to and all that would happen is we would lose points for completion rate.

Important question for CA Dashers

I'm dashing in California so we have prop 22 minimum guarantee.

Here's a situation I run into sometimes. There's a retaurant in the area I dash in thats awful and regularly takes 30+ mins to fulfill orders. I have had to on multiple times contact dasher support and tell them I still haven't gotten an ETA on the customers order, so dasher support will either unassign or cancel the order, and ill move on to the next one. But here I ca we value active time, and my question is in that situation is the 30 minutes I waited at the restaurant still added to my active time, and will be factored in to the minimum guarantee at the end of the week. I know at that point since dasher support cancels it it won't count against my completion rate, but that's not my focus with this.

So I've asked dasher support and none of them can give me a straight answer. Some have told me no it doesn't count as active time, which would mean 30+ minutes wasted time unpaid, and nobody likes that.

So whether dasher support either "cancels" it or "unassigns" it seems to be the key difference. So does the dasher support have option to do both? Sometimes those two words are unintentionally used interchangeably, so getting consistent information has been impossible. I've been on the phone with support and they'll straight up tell me they don't know.

What do you guys think? If dasher support cancels it do you still get the active time you spent standing in the restaurant waiting for the order?
