DC local here. Has anyone seen or heard about this fair. It is both bleak and hilariously put together. It has dollop episode written all over it.

“Nonpartisan” Fair put on by the president on the historic DC Mall. Turns out it wasn’t so nonpartisan.

It shows off ‘true’ Americana by having small booths for each state with oddly specific highlights for each state. Such as the Mississippi booth! It highlights music.. but mostly Elvis.

Neo classical Architecture guys! Printed on tarps and stuck on box structures, or made from materials that can only be described as temporary.. such as Trumps replica Arch de Triumph.. a staggering 20 feet tall that wobbles in the wind.

Awards being handed out and music performances in front of 10s of people.

Hungry!? Stop by the food stands to get a lukewarm hot dog that’s been on rollers for hours.

Haven’t gone yet. No worries swing by this week to watch some horses gallop that they’re calling a rodeo. Bring a hat though - no shade. Oh and highs of 103 this week, specifically on the 4th of July.

But please - if your bag is not clear don’t even try to show up.
