Early MMR dose?

Traveling to Europe soon with my 7 month old and 4 year old. Obviously the baby hasn't had his first MMR dose yet, but we're very pro-vaccines and concerned about exposure while traveling. Are there any (legitimate) documented downsides to the early dose? My understanding is he will still get his normal doses at 12m and 4 years.

I'll also just add that our 4 year old is immunocompromised so vaccines are extra important to us.

TIA!

Give me your tips! Flying solo with 2 littles

I'll be flying solo (red eye, AA business class) on about an 8 hr international flight next month with my 4 year old (in the seat next to me) and my 7 month old on my lap. Luckily my husband will be with us on the way home. It's the baby's first flight, but the 4 year old's 6th international trip. I'm expecting some nerves from the big kid during takeoff and landing, as the business class seats can feel pretty isolated, but she'll be fine. The baby is very happy, easy going, and a good sleeper, although he's starting to crawl and lord help me if a mobile infant on a plane isn't the worst.

In the past, I've had great success with the excellent parenting strategies of unlimited screen time and snacks. Boarding early has worked well for my big kid, but with the baby, we might wait until closer to the last minute. I plan to have them burn off lots of steam in the lounge, and I usually gate check the stroller right at the plane door. I like to travel as light as possible, because my hands will be full enough, but I'm thinking the big kid will have her essentials in her little backpack, and I'll have everything else (including a change of clothes for me!) in my big backpack.

So my question is, am I missing any important tips? Are there any products you've found useful for this situation? Is the Winglett worth the money?

Give me feedback on my itinerary please!

Going to DLP at the start of Princess Week with our princess obsessed 4 year old and 7 month old baby for 2 nights/2.5 days. We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel, and it is the kids' and my first time at any of the parks!

My questions are:

  1. How doable does this seem?

  2. Am I missing anything major?

Yes I used ChatGPT to create these (I know the issues, but also could never have done this on my own). Please be kind!

One night in Paris...with kids

Hi all,

I have ONE day/night in Paris and need to decide where to stay. I'm flying in and will go right to a hotel to recharge. I'll have my 4 year old and baby and will be meeting my husband there before we head to Disney. We're splurging at DLP, so ideally I'd like a reasonably priced hotel, and we don't need crazy amenities as it's one night.

Must haves:

- Transit access to get to DLP

- 2 beds

- a walkable area with something fun to do with the kids

- ideally under €250 for the night

Looking for:

- Neighborhood recommendations

- Hotel recommendations

- Things to do

TIA!

Help me choose seats!

Flying internationally in business with my 4 year old and a lap infant (Lord help me, but I'd rather fly business than have him in his own seat!) in a 1-2-1 setup on a Boeing 777-200 (or 200ER, not totally sure). Previously, my older kid has always just ended up in my lap on business international trips, despite having their own seat, so this is the first time their seat really matters. I'm leaning towards having the big kid next to me in the middle 2 seats as opposed to across the aisle on their own by the window. I know it's harder to get around to help them, but I think they'll be scared across the aisle on their own. My partner will be with us for the ride back, but on the way there I'm solo.

Have you flown solo with a kid and found this work well or not? Also what do you guys think of my seat choice?

Recommendations for traveling to Europe

Hi everyone,

We will be traveling to Europe this August with our two kids, who will be 4.5 years (currently about 38 lbs and 39") and our 8 month old. We'll mostly be using public transit or walking, but when in cars, our baby can use our cosco scenera, but I'm torn about what to do for our older daughter. We can borrow another cosco scenera from our friends, but she's *just* going to be maxing out the forward facing limits.

Thoughts on what to do? Really don't want to 1. Spend a ton on another travel seat, 2. Lug around a big, bulky second seat, as I will be flying solo with the kids on the way there. Thinking about a lightweight backless booster for her (she's small but very responsible and well behaved), but most require the kid to be taller. At home she's still rear facing!

Thanks in advance!!
