I have a $1000 secured card with NFCU. For about 4 months now and I tried for prequalified today and was denied. I was wondering if a pledge loan will increase my chances of being approved for an unsecured card or should I just wait and see if the secured card graduates. My credit score is 630. Also what’s the minimum amount I should do the loan amount for and what’s the amount I should make my first payment? I heard the loan should be for at least $1500 , is this true?

Any suggestions on how I can my Fico score back to normal as soon as possible ?
