I have been living in Pittsburgh for the last 7 years but the people I meet always end up leaving town.

I live in East Liberty and I work at a tech company nearby.

I would like to have more permanent friends in Pittsburgh. I like it here and I am planning to stay.

I am not from the US originally but from France but I become more and more American by the day.

I am into baking, cooking, skiing, swimming, scuba diving, movies, shooting guns. I read a lot about history and politics. I am also highly highly conservative which makes it sometimes difficult to connect with people.

Who wants to be my friend?

I met a colleague at a company getaway in Mexico, and we hit it off immediately. After making out at a club, we realized we had a ton in common and started discussing a serious future. She even mentioned that after being single for 18 months, she felt "there aren't many men worth being a stay-at-home mom for," implying I was different.

Once we returned home to our respective cities, we talked on the phone for an hour every night, diving deep into big topics like marriage and where we’d want to raise kids. We eventually planned a ski trip together, which was flawless—we had great chemistry and a wonderful time. She even introduced me to her sister and friends and told her family all about me.

A couple of weeks later, her attraction seemed to drop. During my next visit, she stayed the night at my hotel but felt distant and started pointing out my flaws. She admitted she wasn’t sure if she "wanted to maintain this" and said that while she cared for me, she saw me more as a friend.

The next day, she suggested coming to my hotel again. I sent her a text explaining that while I enjoyed our time together, I needed to cut contact to avoid more pain. It’s been two weeks of No Contact. Given that we work for the same company but live in different cities, what are the odds she ever reaches out to me first?
